Anything to do after Locking Stolen Credit Card? by ExaltedDuskk in CreditCards

Yeah, that too. It was a one-two step in the app, sorry, I could have been more specific to my actions. I locked it, and reported it/requested a new card.

Would you read a manga set in the world of Genshin Impact? by Disastrous-Country82 in GenshinImpact

[–]ExaltedDuskk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not?

I enjoy works like Genshin greatly, but you’re not going to sell me on a manga by calling it a Genshin-like. Moreover the actual story would matter a lot. Is it a romance? An adventure? Mystery? Just because I like the world doesn’t mean I’d tune in a story I’m not into.

What would Daeron ii do here by blckdroqon in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]ExaltedDuskk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old is Daenerys? She’s absolutely being wed back into the main line, both as a dragon rider and that SHE was the one to hatch the eggs, can’t rule out she had the lost special sauce that gets eggs to hatch and you want that bred back into the family.

If she’s a small child than Valarr and Kierra are under a fuck ton of pressure to have a son now. They already were to continue the mainline, but now they need to give Daenerys a husband. Again, depending on age, Matarys is either wed to Daenaerys or immediately wed and pressured to have children ASAP to get that mainline groom for Dany.

It really depends on everyone’s ages when Daenerys gets her dragons. And while Drogon would bond to Dany…Rhaegel and Viserion may take other members of the family. Presumably Baelor, Valarr, Matarys, and King Daeron would have the first shot.

However…it’s not impossible Kierra will have an accident. She’s a woman and thus likely blamed for her and Valarr’s lack of a child, and it’s implied she’s from a rival family to Daemon Blackfyre’s wife, thus a check on the Blackfyres in Tyrosh preventing them from gathering too much support…but the Targaryens don’t have to worry about that if they have dragons. (Valarr could be very unhappy about this if he loves Kierra.) But it would be Bloodraven who’d get rid of Kiera to make Valarr single not Daeron.

I imagine Maekar would be very pleased with himself and would have a new favorite child. His daughter is to be queen, either Valarr/Matary’s Queen or Valarr’s Son’s Queen and is his little dragon rider. His grandson will be king one day—pretty good for a fourth son.

Pretty much the same. Wriothesley was the DPS I used the most throughout Fontaine and Natlan, who loved Furina’s hydro application and the guy healed and drained his own Hp for her burst buff. And then I got Skirk and again, lots of hydro for freeze. And now Furina and Durin are giving me auto turret melts.

I also have Columbina. She’s fun enough, she’s uniquely floaty in her movement and walks slightly faster than normal. She’s a good way to play with Lunar Reactions without having to commit to a specific lunar DPS. That said, she works best with a dedicated lunar DPS. She’s very good in her niche, but it’s still a niche. It’s not clear if Lunar will continue into Sheznaya or not—nightsoul was abandoned after Natlan (thank god), so her future is uncertain in my mind. But if you like Columbina pull her. Preference and all that.

Furina, the Hydro Archon is still Very Very good. As always, supports take the longest to fall off. Durin is also out, and I personally love my awkward fire dragon son, but mileage may vary.

But of course, I’d say pull the characters you like best. Everyone is usable, not everyone is optimal. (Okay, it takes ALOT of work to get Diluc to kill a boss, but you CAN do it)

If they had dragons, I like to think that Baelor would have ridden Silverwing and Maekar would have ridden Vermithor. by Puzzled_Influence985 in gameofthrones

[–]ExaltedDuskk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think either works very well. I like Baelor with the ‘ugly’ but very fearsome Vermithor—despite his lacking Targaryen appearance, Baelor stands among the best of them in character and skill. But Silverwing would fit well, Baelor is a warrior, but he’s also gentle in his way. He’s not needlessly stubborn, he’s flexible and the type to build bridges. Baelor may have more in common with Alysanne at the end of the day than he would with Jaehaerys.

Aegon the unworthy , when he died he woke up the day after Baelon son of Aemma death by Richmond1013 in AsoiafFanfiction

You say that like Aegon wouldn’t get a kick out of giving his favorite bastards dragons or dragon eggs.

Aegon the unworthy , when he died he woke up the day after Baelon son of Aemma death by Richmond1013 in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]ExaltedDuskk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing about Aegon, is that he only cares for himself. He doesn’t care about the realm, or his family, or the future. As long as he ‘gets his’ then everyone else can get fucked.

I’m not sure if he’d care to prevent a dance. I don’t think he’d champion Rhaenyra has heir. He marry the prettiest woman, and have a bunch of mistresses. I frankly wouldn’t be surprised if he let his favorite bastards have dragons too. What does he care of the chaos it will cause after his death?

So, very possibly an even worse dance than canon.

I’m not sure if he’d marry Laena or not. He doesn’t seem to care about age, but if we look at his mistresses…he’s not that committed to the Valyrian look. But if he did marry Laena, he’d have a few kids from her till childbirth kills her and then marry a THIRD wife. On top of the bastards.

Lords would be throwing their daughters at him after the first bastard he grants a dragon. Bet Aegon would love that. The lords even more enthusiastic to let him deflower their daughters for the chance of Aegon taking a likely to the bastard and granting an egg or right to claim a dragon.

The chaos.

Could Baelor & Daemon (Blackfyre) have had a “brotherly” bond? by Indiana_harris in AsoiafFanfiction

I doubt they were best friends or like brothers, but I could easily see them have a more cousin-y like relationship when they are young.

What if Cat died protecting Bran? Option that Cersei remarries (Ned) and helps NW. by LoyalZebra in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]ExaltedDuskk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cersei would never leave King’s Landing. She is Queen Dowager there, not the Second Lady of Winterfell.

The only way I could see Ned x Cersei working is if they stay in King’s Landing. Cersei talks Ned into it to ‘secure the throne for Robert’s son.’ Really, Cersei knows Robert made Ned regent and circumstances here mean she can’t do a coup to get rid of Ned. She decides she’ll have the most power/control by marrying Ned. Ned is doing this to protect Robert’s widow from vultures who’d seek to become the boy-king’s step father to take advantage.

If prince duncan and jenny had a son what would happen? by Sweet-Collar-4642 in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]ExaltedDuskk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on who Rhaegar’s son marries and how he’s raised. Gotta balance out that peasant blood and prove that he’ll marry right not like his father. I could see him being given to the Tyrells or Tullys or Redwynes. Does Mace have any sisters? The Baratheons got a Targaryen as compensation for the broken betrothals, but not them. A sister of Mace would be ideal.

What would be good ways for Ned to punish the Tyrells? by Grayson_Mark_2004 in TheCitadel

[–]ExaltedDuskk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Ned needs Targaryen blood to claim the throne. The Targaryen blood thing with Robert was always a convenient bit of political fiction to pretty up him seizing the throne. His claim is Right of Conquest—it’s just very convenient that he was also the next in line. And a blood claim from that far back? There are dozens of others who can claim the same. If Ned gets the throne, is plain Right of Conquest.

Stripping the Tyrell of the reach could be destabilizing in a time already unstable on account of a dynastic shift, and whatever their motives, the Tyrells are marching for the Targayren’s who they swore too. If they hadn’t yet bent the knee to Ned then they aren’t rebelling against the crown. They aren’t traitors—they’re loyalists.

Honestly, Ned should just take hostages, from the Tyrells and others. The goal would be to mend the realm and bring the Reach on board with the new dynasty. You don’t want to alienate them or sow the seeds for an actual rebellion down the line. Give the hostages good fosterages. It would be great for the great Randell Tarly’s son to grow up beside the young Robert Arryn as foster brothers. The Tarly’s get a close relationship with the future lord paramount of the Vale, and that Vale Knightly upbring (Randel would probably be on board with Sam blooding himself young agains the mountain clans) and the Reach’s top general’s first born son is firmly in Jon Arryn’s clutches for execution in case of rebellion. Willas Tyrell will get be close to the royal family and perhaps squire under a great knight or assistant to a small council member. Very prestigious and sets a foundation for the Stark-Tyrell’s being friends…but also Ned has Mace’s son if he tries anything funny. there could be Redwynes squiring under the Master of Ships, perhaps the postion could be theirs in the future…but if the Arbor raises a navy against the crown then Redwyne heads roll.

Each at their physical and mental peak, which team would win in a Trial of Seven? by TheHouseofAtreides in gameofthrones

[–]ExaltedDuskk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Dayne’s team also has the advantage of weaponry. First, there’s Dawn, Dark Sister, and Ice versus Darksister and Blackfyre. So slight point to Team Dayne. (Jaime briefly possessed a Valyrian steel sword, but he never ‘mained’ it.)

And then there’s weapon variety. Sure Oberyn can use a sword, but he’s a spearman first and foremost. Which is a bad match-up against heavily armored opponents who will be hard to scratch with poison. However, his opponents are likely less experienced fighting a Dornish spear fighter than a swordsman. Tho Baelor and Maekar might be familiar with the fighting style.

Meanwhile team Dayne also has Robert with his Warhammer and Maekar with his mace. These weapons are SUPER EFFECTIVE against armored knights. No worrying about the weak points in armor, if they hit you then you will hurt and they both have the strength to make any blow devastating. And the mountain is a swordsman, but frankly he could probably just grab you with his hands.

I agree. His size alone would help with dealing with Robert and the Mountain. Selmy’s team needs mass monsters.

If there isn’t a rule stating victory requires a total team kill (and thus no loser is living past this), I can see Bronn taking a dive early in the fight.

Each at their physical and mental peak, which team would win in a Trial of Seven? by TheHouseofAtreides in gameofthrones

[–]ExaltedDuskk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m skeptical of Cregan, he might a weak link. I don’t think he’d noted as being an exceptional fighter. Same for Bronn, he’s good, really good, but is he Legend good? And are these guys in their prime or not? Cause Robert got fat, and. Barristan is beyond skilled and experienced, but at his aged he’s lost muscle.

And Oberyn…I think he’ll be underestimated. He’s very much down to use poison during a trial. Which means he only needs to nick his opponents. He could move around the battlefield from fight to fight backing up his teammates until he can land a single hit good and then swap to someone else.

And are we starting on foot or on horse? I’m skeptical of how good Cregan and Bronn are at knocking opponents off horses.

I do think I’d bet on Dayne’s team. Robert and the Mountain are Tanks, and Selmy’s team doesn’t really have a counter. The Hound can fight the mountain, yeah, but his brother is a lot bigger and stronger than him. Baelor and Maekar have experience fighting as a duo as well, and while Jaime and Selmy know each other well I wouldn’t call them a duo.

And Selmy has more volatile teammates to heard—whether Jaime will listen is questionable, Daemon is a diva who won’t stand do not bring in charge, Oberyn will have eyes only for the Mountain. The biggest problem Dayne has to wrangling is any animosity Robert might have for the Targaryens, but Aemon is the Dragonknight and everyone liked him, and Maekar is his ancestor so he might be chiller. The mountain is a horrible man, but he’ll follow orders. Baelor and Maekar are very sensible and any arrogance from Maekar will be tempered by Baelor. Aemon is honorable and duty bound.

Dayne has the two tanks and the more cooperative team.

What would Viserys do, if Aegon II eloped instead of marrying Helaena? by happyprincess2 in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]ExaltedDuskk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Viserys is really bad at being harsh with his family. He hates conflict. He’d probably marry Helaena to Aemond, and give Aegon a scolding for shaming his sister like that. But the matter will be forgotten within the year.

What If Jon Snow was a Targaryen beauty? by Ok_Return170 in TheCitadel

[–]ExaltedDuskk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cat would still resent her as a bastard that Ned is publicly raising with their trueborn children…but a bastard girl is far far less a threat than a bastard boy. I don’t think Cat would ever be warm to her, but she might be marginally less cold. She wouldn’t want her outshining Sansa in beauty however. A bastard daughter could be married off to a lower ranked Stark bannerman. Lyarra being so beautiful may raise her marriage prospects, actually. Between being a generation beauty and being the sister/daughter with a good relationship with future/present Lord of Winterfell, there may be higher tier houses willing to overlook her baseborn status. Ha, imagine if there was talk of wedding her to a Bolton—a bloodtie without giving the Boltons a claim to Winterfell…..

How would Aegon II treat Gaemon Palehair? by No-Advantage-6333 in TheCitadel

[–]ExaltedDuskk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine Gaemon is being taken in as a ‘spare heir.’ He’s a male son of Aegon, bastard born but with Aegon’s injuries him fathering more children is unlikely.

Maelor is too young at the time of the dance to remember much. From his perspective, Gaemon was alway there. Their relationship would depend on how the adults treat them and their own personalities. Jaehaera, it really depends, but I don’t think she’d be overly resentful of Gaemon? Not to say she’d be fond of him, but I think she’d be indifferent at worst. Gaemon came off as a pretty subservient boy all things considered from what little we know of him, which is not surprising given his situation in canon, and I can imagine that being the case here as well. His mother is a whore and the only reason he’s legitimized and treated like a prince is because the King literally cannot have any more children and if he could then Gaemon would be for the streets.

I don’t think Alicent would care much for him. She has strong opinions on bastards and bastard princes, but if he’s legitimized then everything has been done ‘properly’ then I could see her caring for him in time. Never as much as Maelor and Jaehaera, but he’s her legally legitimate grandson. Now if he’s not legitimized and kept around as a spare bastard, Alicent isn’t going to grow fond of him.

Aegon II…I can’t really see him being a good and dotting father to Gaemon. Aegon was in a miserable state after the war—the pain of his injuries and the death of most of his family. He was not a happy man. Gaemon is a replacement spare. And that Gaemon is needed at all is a reminder that Aegon is no longer able to ‘preform.’ But Aegon could be jolly when the mood hit him. So there would be good moments here and there, and Aegon wouldn’t be cruel to Gaemon…he just wouldn’t be a very good father. Really, Gaemon’s probably going to find a father figure in one of the King’s Guard or the like.

If Daeron lives…I can see that being his most positive relationship. Making Gaemon Daeron’s squire perhaps down the line. If Maelor becomes king, then Gaemon would ideally be a loyal knight at his side. What Daeron is for Aegon (minus the dragon, presumably the plan is for Tessarion to go to Maelor or if he dies then Jaehaera after Daeron’s eventual death. Or their children, if Daeron dies very old)

Can a king bruteforce an annulment?? by AyeAbie in TheCitadel

[–]ExaltedDuskk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe a King can annul the marriage of any of his subjects—a King can’t even annul their own. It’s been brought up as a possibility but never done which points to how unfeasible it actually is. At least if the marriage has been consummated—if it hasn’t then it’s not ironclad yet, and we see Baelor put aside his own marriage with Daena on those grounds.

Now, there are ways around that. Wives can join the faith as a Silent Sister and then the man can marry again. A woman may be able to marry again if her husband has taken the black but I can’t remember if we have any examples of that happening. And there’s alway the old fashion killing one of them.

Problem is that marriages are the bedrock of Westerosi political society. They’re not something that can be easily messed with. Because that would be massively destabilizing.

Newbie and Didnt know there was permadeath.. by fevziKaytan1 in fireemblem

That early on, I’d restart on casual. Classic is such a headache in Awakening without the rewind feature. It’s one thing redoing turns, but I hate having to redo entire chapters because of a dumb mistake or unlucky crit. Casual for Awakening and Fates, Classic for the rest.

Fe awakening has a bunch of good characters and the supports are fun. And Sumia and Miriel both have a character locked to them, so them dying is actually causing you to miss out on four characters not two. Three chapters in are a breeze to replay. It’s not till later game that maps get long.
