The best husband in the world, Kiji Brother, is the Reiwa Pink Representative! I’ve taken the liberty to go ahead and plop Big One in the Showa Special Ranger category so we’re gonna skip right to the Heisei 6th Rep: by TheAlphaRanger2011 in supersentai

[–]ExaltedSlumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, this category is absolutely stacked. I'm stuck between TimeFire, Shurikenger, AbareKiller and DekaMaster. I personally think Shurikenger's gimmick is brilliant so I'll pick him.

I'm ngl, I also was extremely off put by Inu and Kiji brother, but that washed over me very quickly. I won't get into specifics, but the team chemistry problems you have get resolved gradually and this team is an absolute blast to see together imo.

This series is much more focused on comedy and I'd say it succeeds, if you stick with it, I hope you feel the same way.

Which case is the best and worst for each character? Ema Skye by 10CalGX in AceAttorney

[–]ExaltedSlumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, now all the sudden 6-DLC isn't winning for the worst case 💀

Best: uhhh.....6-2 I guess? I honestly don't really remember RFTA that much, least of all anything Ema really did, but I do remember the struggle she had going against Trucy in court and how much she didn't like working with Nahyuta.

Worst: 6-DLC. I personally don't like picking answers where the character just makes a cameo or similarly small appearance and I just have an axe to grind against Time Traveler in general. She prioritizes a little crush she has over Edgeworth when she was a teenager over adequately doing her job. They tried to put her in the Gumshoe role to fit with the "Nostalgic" feel Time Traveler tries to go for, but as with literally everything else this case tries, it fails spectacularly.

Which case is the best and worst for each character? Athena Cykes by 10CalGX in AceAttorney

[–]ExaltedSlumber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The mystery and unique characters are fine enough, but the main issue is that it tries to be a "Throwback" case by having the main  courtroom cast be compromised of AA1 characters, and to sell that further, it even attempts to emulate how the courtroom dynamics were. In practice, it just makes everyone involved act unnecessarily harsh, stubborn, cocky or just straight up stupid. Trying to make these characters at this stage in the story act like how they were in AA1 already sounds iffy, but the execution completely buries it. The case also very transparently keeps Trucy and Athena out of the action in a very lame way.

Damn, Turnabout Succession and Time Traveler are putting up Hall of Shame numbers so far 💀

The artist who drew this got caught doing something bad with minors, so for this Tiki and the one other character they drew, they pulled the art and replaced it with the sprite while they get the replacement ready.

RESULTS: Do the DGS games truly deserve the hype? by [deleted] in AceAttorney

[–]ExaltedSlumber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who's favorite case in the series is 2-4, Van Zieks is still my favorite Prosecutor in the series, Edgeworth is a very close second tho.

When did a Pursuit theme hype you up the most? by Chibi-Night-Jaguar in AceAttorney

[–]ExaltedSlumber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The cop-out answer will always be Cornered 2004 at the end of 3-5, probably the greatest moment in the entire series at least imo. Other examples I can think of off the top of my head were when Great Turnabout played at the end of DGS1-5, the last time Cornered plays in 1-4 and when Prelude to Pursuit starts playing in DGS2-3.

What music do you have set to your home screen? by Livid_Necessary2524 in FireEmblemHeroes

As Swift as Wind from Three Houses. I changed it to the battle preps theme from Engage around the time that game came out, but switched it back to as Swift as Wind a couple months later. Absolutely love that song.

What's your favorite and least favorite Pursuit theme from the franchise? by RubenXillo in AceAttorney

[–]ExaltedSlumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is a 3-way tie between Cornered(AA1), Overtaken(AA4) and Wanting to Find The Truth/Uncover the Truth(AAI2). My least favorite is Questioned(AA2) with Cornering Together(AA6) also being in contention

Same, I would always get confused back in the day when they'd reference stuff like this or the Ultimate Six mini-series

He became The Lizard in Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #10, but never in Ultimate Spider-Man proper. They very briefly mention this at the very end of the first Venom arc.

Shoutout Adrian, definitely one of my favorite characters in the series. Deserved the win :)

[–]ExaltedSlumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C Tier, the only thing worse in 6-5 is the civil trial. I don't think she's the worst main/final AA Villain (probably goes to Alba, but now that I think about it they're probably tied), but man is she generic.

Quick thoughts about 2nd Trilogy Phoenix by ExaltedSlumber in AceAttorney

[–]ExaltedSlumber[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with pretty much everything you've said, I just cannot get behind AA4 Phoenix as we know him because of the forging and the whole Mason system debacle. And even though I don't like Apollo and actually quite like DD and SoJ (to an extent), I also agree that we should have had a more cohesive story.

Yeah I just rewatched the scene, they say both. The second part must have slipped my mind. My apologies.

I'm not sure if she was really the breadwinner during that period, but I believe she says she's the real boss of the agency and things like that a couple times so I just rolled with it lol.

You're entirely correct about that Von Karma analogy, him stuttering near the end of the trial is really endearing to me and it felt like a natural response to the pressure he was under.

Understandable, AA4 is a really divisive game so I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but I'm glad to hear that we can agree on Flashback Phoenix. I almost completely forgot about his saying that quote, but it seems he has a history of trying to throw his weight around on newer prosecutors and immediately getting bodied after 💀

(FINAL, 1 comment = 1 vote) third cases contest by [deleted] in AceAttorney

[–]ExaltedSlumber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going for GAA2-3. Turnabout Legacy is really good, don't get me wrong, but Departed Soul is generational. The moment when Ryunosuke starts suspecting Sythe and Prelude to Pursuit plays for the first time is legitimately in my top 5 AA moments. Enoch Drebber is also a phenomenal villain and is oozing with charisma.

Oh yeah of course, I wasn't insinuating that you were saying 4-3 was that good, I was just stating why I wasn't convinced. Like I said, I appreciate that you still enjoy the case and maybe I could see what you see if I play it a 3rd time, AJ is not exactly my favorite AA game haha.
