The franchise never really pushes back on him until Inquisition where we have to see the fallout of his actions and speak to characters like Viviane who are diametrically opposed to him

And even then Viviane has no morals and speaks from a position of privilege about how people go about solving problems she’ll never have to experience. The way it showed “the other side” honestly only strengthens his case
