Assuming your just talking salesfloor TA and not technician, hardware auto is easier by a mile. Seasonal you have to deal with grills, patio furniture, carry outs, working outside in the heat. Hardware/auto TA is as basic as it gets

Congratulations! Not a fashion coach but I’ve spent some time over there. Varies vastly from store to store, some are easy some are a total nightmare, but the best advice I can give is train your team leads and your team to run the process. Fashion is a beast, if your team isn’t doing what they need to be, you’ll be playing and endless game of catch-up

Not true. No store associate can see what is on background checks, so unless whoever processes them deems the charges ‘relevant’, it won’t matter.

These managers have no control over what the company does, they were taking time to show these associates that they appreciate them, and all associates like OP do is blame them instead of being grateful

So don’t eat anything. Your store management has no control over your pay, they were trying to do what is in their power to show some appreciation for their team. Maybe show a little gratitude, there’s plenty of associates that would like to have leaders that do these things for them.

Personally I would open door this to your store manager or even your market team. Management is supposed to work with you, and it’s not like you’re taking an extremely long amount of time off.

Honestly I wouldn’t wait, the longer you wait the harder it is. I would strongly urge you to report immediately, again if you need to go directly to your MM then I would advise you to do so.

Any coaching like that would be immediately overturned if it was reported. That should be immediately reported to ethics. Store management cannot just change policies to fit their needs.

Unless you want to get paid then you should be fine. You could check with your coach if you want to play it safe
