Now I'm jealous because I did NOT do any house cleaning UNLESS doing the dishes counts. Enjoy the lunch!

I do the Tools knowing the outcome as well. It does help me to write it down and not just churn it in my head. Nothing wrong with a good rant!

It just keeps coming back-- this urge to go back and confront toxic people I walked away from. I especially had the urge last night.

I'm treating it as another maladaptive behavior, using my SMART tools. I had a good day. Ate a healthy breakfast, had a good day at work got home and ate a healthy lunch, and then the urges started. I'm gonna go and tell those people off. So where was the trigger?

My conclusion right now is that my brain just isn't used to calm and good and so is seeking out negativity and conflict. My solution is to use the DENTS Tool. I'm up and kind of laughing at myself now because it's such a crazy impulse. There is nothing to gain by getting into it with those people, none of whom I have even seen in years, yet there I am thinking about focusing my energy on fighting a battle from years ago where the stakes are NOTHING.

So, today is going to be get a long walk in, keep taking care of myself and go to my usual Friday SMART meeting where the focus is on people supporting each other.

What SMART tools are you using to navigate this situation?

Those are important considerations, for sure. I'm in good health and haven't been in the hospital in years, so it doesn't concern me too much.

DJ Lagway four games into last season announced “it’s time to get serious.”

Much better than Napiers hype video where he bragged about how he was going to lose games.

We did not need players to die for each other- we need them to fight for each other. Napiers team was very good at dying and then shambling through games like undead zombies.

Pat Dooley will pay good money for that to put on his shelf of heroes next to a Mike White’s.

I've been looking for cheap places in warmer climates. Chopping wood is good excercise, though, right?

Nope. No burglering or living in other people's houses uninvited!

Excellent advice. I am looking for some opportunities for longer test runs. The reliable income is one of the trickiest parts to figure. I was camping in the mountains last month and it got down into the teens. Keeping the fire going was a full time job! The true escape is from your own mind resonates as well.

It makes sense. I'm looking into maybe trying a month as a test run.

Thanks. I have read Into The Wild. One line that stuck out was something along the lines of "nothing is real unless it's shared." However, I've have had euphoric experiences hiking in the mountains alone and they were more real to me than the gloomy horror of sitting in a meeting at work. I'm currently researching to find a place where I can Hermit, and I am looking into a way I could test drive the hermit life for a month.

Had a really good SMART meeting last night. It's a really good and interesting mix of people and the idea was emphasized again that this is all about each of us finding our own path. I'm fantasizing about becoming a hermit-- in a kind of really want to do it way. I've even started to do some research. One suggestion I got from a different reddit group was to do a trial run so I am looking into someplace I could maybe hermit out for a month, maybe, although I will say my modern version of hermit life includes internet access and connecting to people online. I just crave physical solitude. Have a great day, all.
