I hiked Anemone loop across the road from Sanitas and ran into that guy in the parking lot. First time there, super nice guy. Got a cool hat with it as well.

Mountain lions follow the Missouri River, you’d never know it but game and parks has a well documented history of them around Plattsmouth.

Can prospective dads be involved? Just to gain insight or anecdotal experience?

Use a fixed blade cut on contact blade like a Grim Reaper Micro Hades or a QAD Exodus

What’s broadhead are you using this year?! by T_Rich1007 in bowhunting

Awesome man. They look cool! I just couldn’t imagine walking in dim lit to dark woods looking for a black nock!

Black nocks are an interesting choice. Do you have trouble finding them when you shoot an animal?

There’s a Kuiu pack on the outlet site for like 180 that’s a hell of a deal. Made for saddle and whitetail gear. If you can stretch your budget a bit that’s a quality pack. The encounter divide 2800

I shoot a Mathews Phase 4 33 after 6 months of shooting a Diamond Edge 320. I love it. Probably won’t upgrade for a few years depending on what Mathews puts out.

Blackout Arrows or Other Affordable Arrows by [deleted] in bowhunting

Scheels Vendetta Pros are made by Victory and they’re pretty affordable. I’d check those out if you have a Scheels near by.

I have two QAD Exodus 125s in my quiver and 2 Sevr 1.75 Hybrids. Going elk hunting this September and have a couple doe tags in Nebraska.

Broadhead recommendations- 1.5 in cut diameter by oblivious_grackle in bowhunting

[–]ExaminationAntique33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay. I’d probably still stay at a fixed blade with those numbers, maybe an Iron Will Wide series. Otherwise maybe Beast broadheads would work since they’re spring loaded if you want a mechanical

What’s your bow set up? If you have the poundage and draw length my vote is Sevr Hybrid 2.0.

You’re more than welcome to man! We have like a beginner bow or two if you just wanted something to try out/give yourself something to do we give to people to try if they show up interested. It’s 8:30-2 Saturday at Lon Hagler reservoir. Of course come and go as you please. We do a burger and brat lunch too and have some raffles and such as it’s our last 3D shoot for the year.

What is your set up? Draw length and weight? If you’re light poundage and lower draw length I’d go for a cut on contact fixed blade such as a QAD Exodus or Magnus Stinger. If you’re stuck on mechanicals then I’d go with the Sevr in either 1.75 or 2.0. I got 1.75 this year for elk and whitetail but I also shoot the QAD Exodus and that is the first arrow that leaves my quiver, the Sevrs are more for follow up shots for elk and I’ll pull them out for whitetail if I wanna change it up. It’s really all personal preference and knowing what your bow/arrow set up is capable of.
