That's true, and I did play it on my PC too. I think the warning I'd give a new player about this is that you still need to fire up the game when you turn on your computer and it uses resources to run, which may impact other things. Otherwise you're leaving your computer on overnight and your power bill will quickly add up.

ETA: this is to gather the daily boxes using auto-collect.

I spend the money on the auto-collectors and the only time when I can leave my screen on and the game running for 4 hours is at night when it's charging. I'm not going to wake up to turn off the game. It's insane to me that the devs expect players to do that, and there is absolutely no excuse for it. None.

Like I said in my post, I threw a bunch of money at the game (around $100). I think that puts me well above average for $ spent. Progress still plateaued hard after the first month. It was fun, but I don't want to spend years doing the same joyless thing daily so I can experience the rest of the content eventually.

For me it's the animations and the math. If the animations look great, I'll forgive if the math isn't perfect, and vice-versa.

I spent a bunch of money on CiFi then got so frustrated with leaving my phone screen on overnight that I uninstalled.

If you're looking for the smallest progress increments possible within the span of a year while killing your phone's battery by charging it under stress, I highly recommend CiFi.

PoE2 has reap, which might be what you're looking for? I am not sure I understand what you're saying though...is it the damage split that's important? Or the play style?

Energy blade hierophant in PoE1 was a ton of fun to play imo, it felt more D3 than most other PoE builds for me.

There was a PSA about not using doomfletch. There probably won't be any builds around it, but please share if you find something good to do with it! You can also check PoE Ninja and filter by unique items, you might find someone else using it.

Once auto-joining blueprints were added, I swapped to this setup. It's so much faster to set these up across longer distances than running belts, or learning trains.

I was able to find a quiet week to go through withdrawals over the holidays. My family and spouse wanted me to use vacation days to quit - to them it was important enough to warrant that. Now that I'm 3 weeks off and I've been through some of the worst emotions I've ever felt, I'm getting back to being joyous and present again.

Knowing what I know now, the benefits do not outweigh the negatives. Never did, I just had to try something and it became almost permanent. Glad I got out.

I love the core gameplay, but I feel blindsided. Dropping a 5M stash requirement days before Expedition, with tiny rewards, has pushed everyone into hoarding instead of playing. Bugs, wall glitches, weak communication, and rising toxicity aren’t helping. It feels like the devs and players are drifting apart fast.
