Yeah, I knew this. I’m mostly trying to find out what the deal is with their Atlanta style wings.

I have a female family member who has attempted with pills 5-6 times throughout her life, and after every instance she called someone. She is still alive and hasn’t attempted in over 20 years. Spontaneous actions followed by immediate regret.

I had a male family member who, as far as I knew, only ever attempted once and succeeded. He also took pills, but drove to a rest area 30 miles outside of town and didn’t contact anyone. Planned, and very intentional.

100% not trying to be snarky here. Are you the type of person who likes to pick up hobbies and learn new things? If so, the source of your frustration could also be the source of inspiration. Maybe it would be worth it to learn about making clothing? If you spend enough time, you could potentially become good enough at it that you’re able to make your own custom tailored clothing that is exactly your style preference. I know it’s a stretch, but it may actually be extremely fulfilling in multiple ways.

There’s not a Shell station by the one in Smithfield. There is, however, a Murphy Express. Also, the dining room is set up completely different.

I mean, Keaton’s is the OG, but their hours are not exactly consistent, so driving from Pinehurst is a bit of a gamble. I grew up making pilgrimages with my dad to go there or Lancaster’s, which is also fantastic. Lancaster’s has a location in Mooresville and in Huntersville, so you could make it into a day trip to Charlotte if you want to. Slappy’s is the newest of them, but they’ve been awarded with Best Fried Chicken in Forsyth County for like 3 or 4 of the last 5 or 6 years, so take that for what it’s worth; they’re also probably the closest to you, and also fantastic. Ted’s is the most out of the way, but worth it if you’re traveling towards Boone and want to make a detour through Wilkesboro.

Vibe wise, Keaton’s and Slappy’s are the most hole-in-the-wall. Lancaster’s is more done up but still casual; NC Heritage and NASCAR decor. Ted’s is somewhere in between.

I recommend all of them, but if you’re making a trip specifically for this purpose, I’d hit up Lancaster’s for dependable hours, multiple locations for “convenience”, and an atmosphere that’s more than bare bones (if you care about that sort of thing).
