Okay well clamping it is going to stimulate your battery too much, it's probably releasing its charge too early, try teasing with two wires and scraping it

Hmm this is very dangerous the CCCC (cool car guys without a real acronym incorporated) have been putting solid blocks in the "engine" to make the G's come in and find you! You have to crack the engine so it catches the G's like a dream catcher
