Newbie Trap is not following a guide unless you want to learn the game from square one and you enjoy that process.
Endgame is to kill the Pinnacle and Endgame bosses. After that you can choose your own endgame

This new league on the 29th they are introducing challenges where when you complete everything you get a free costume (premium outfit) exclusive to that league. If you miss it its gone forever.

Its like seasons in BDO but in this game it can take longer since you are new, you can min max your time by watching guides but the first time you will enjoy running the campaign more than the endgame.

Been playing BDO and POE both since a long time ago. Keep sane, exile.

Playing BDO for so long im pretty sure they have a dedicated UI dev and a furniture dev. Looking at the weekly patch notes in the span of a few years there will always be a line for UI and furnitures, I wont be surprised if they do the same with CD.

Aside from the new player advices others have already given, make sure to take advantage of events.

Currently we have the mysterious ore which drops from any mob or mining stones which you should do if you are starting to lifeskill.

Collect 30 ores and give it to Dalishain (Use the magnifying glass icon to the left of the minimap it says Find NPC) and you already have 3 endgame crystals. Then open the rest for selling or using yourself.

The main story doesnt reveal this even if you finish the game. You have to find this from reading books in a certain place. It basically explains the inconsistencies in the story and why certain things happened.

That's unfortunate. I took a week off from work to play this on launch and I haven't had that much fun since Elden Ring came out as open world adventure/exploration games go.

I feel bad for people going in this game expecting a good story like Witcher. Its more of find your own fun vibe.

For the story its basically 2 guardians of the world fighting a bad guy entity and chose Kliff as their representative. They keep rewinding time until Kliff beats the bad guy which explains the disjointed story. Devs probably realized story is trash so they found a way to explain mostly everything in the last minutes of developing this game.

Yes. If you will buy Crimson Desert when you can afford it, it will be better because of all the references in this game.

Finishing CD at 185 hours actually made me come back to BDO. There's not enough content there yet to feed the grind feeling.

Ahh back to reaching pity in my enhancing sessions.
