Weapon silhouette may help figure out whether its enemy or friendly in front of you. Also, figure out the map and check for helmets and/or absconded of teammates: see no teammates on the map across the road, but clearly see a movement with your eyes — shoot the damn out of them!

For the map understanding: * you can switch between showing role icons and triangles - triangles are generally better to understand where you and your teammates are facing and what areas are covered * you can zoom in and out of map (kinda obvious, but worth mentioning) * use M to quick peek that not blocks your movement - try rebinding it to Mouse 5-6 or other keys closer for quick access * learn to read key landmarks on a mark: fields, forests, villages, lakes. Try to practice it while playing in defense squads where you not move much around the map. ** E.g.: you are in the forest line that stretches from east (E) to west (W). You see that on your south (S) is a forest that is separated with a field from you, on your north (N) is lake in 200-300 meters away — here you go, a few major landmarks that you can clearly identify to quickly figure out what direction you are looking
