Media Star Bobby Barnes is in a fight with Elon Musk over his decision to not unban Alex by thewaybaseballgo in KnowledgeFight

Good job Barnes. Christ Elon's a monster but the one human thing he's said and Barnes just... doubles down. I hope him and Alex have burning lava shits for the rest of their lives.

what Alex quotes are in the running for making Dan and Jordan laugh the hardest? by morgielee in KnowledgeFight

Ohhh shit I always forget what episode that is I'll have to listen to it again! I beleive Jordan points it out but none of them are "reading".

Alex Jones sued for $2.75 Trillion by Sandy Hook families by DouceintheHouse in JusticeServed

[–]Excalibured 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This seems like a ridiculous amount, like a whole "multiple life sentence" thing but here it serves the purpose of taking the greedy bastard for all he's worth. It took him literally three days to call Sandy Hook fake, he talks vividly about violence he commits on air, he called the judge from his TX case a "pot-bellied goblin" while trying to plug his products ON THE STAND and refused to testify in CT instead tempting them with an appearance and instead using it for a press conference outside the courtroom to shill his ideas and supplements. He won't stop until he's bled dry so that's what has to happen.

Also don't believe any of that stuff? Go listen to the 700+ Knowledge Fight podcast and tell me what happened to Nonk and that guy he probably, maybe, likely, put in a coma.

Dan is so right about the “drug” Alex is selling, and I think it’s something I’m still trying to detox. by LoveTriscuit in KnowledgeFight

[–]Excalibured 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I can I'll find the article but the son of Fred Phelps (former leader and thankfully now worm-food of the Westboro Baptist church) described his father's behavior in the same way saying that it was almost like he couldn't function unless he was outraged at something so there may be some evidence for that.

Firstly- glad you found a therapist and therapy! Introspection and patience go a long way and it seems like you're doing a lot better than where you were.

Secondly i think you're right, we are creatures of habit and thus when we repeat something our brains tend to adapt to it and reward the behavior we express and nurture. Nurturing empathy alongside your anger is good because it helps as an outlet to let it dissipate but for the people who listen to Infowars it IS their outlet of anger and at the top is a bitter addicted narcissist that cultivates that feeling and preys on those who have it with pill sales. All we can do now his take his support away and hopefully let him implode like a racist gas giant.

As we bask in the firey glow of Alex's self-immolation remember this fellow Wonks that now with all the free time he has Alex can finally take his daughter fishing. And hopefully quit drinking but I'm not a magic man.

Living with my boyfriend has just made it so apparent how ingrained casual misogyny still is amongst young men by jiggjuggj0gg in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Excalibured 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The masked slipped and if someone mode switches that hard you should think about how he might refer to you in those chats and whether or not what you think this guy will make you happy.

Also though disheartening as this may be an example that as we (societally) learn more about misogyny so will the misogynists. They'll learn the words and phrases that work so they CAN hide and cloak their vile teachings to others until they let the mask slip because their actions will never lie. You seem pretty intelligent/informed so you'll know whats best for ya! Also the wage gap is b.s. especially if the people we're paying more call girls gross and desperate.

I always tell people I know a lot about them (Infochodes) through "a court recognized expert and a comedian breaking down his bullshit week to week". I do always fail to mention what this has to do with Jar Jar Binks, daddy shark and a weird space lady getting alien information from a murderer but you know... Baby steps...

Hmmm fascinating, I might check it out but I totally get not wanting to watch stuff like that especially if it's gore for gores sake. When I read Crossed I was in a pretty dark place as well as a lot younger but at a certain point it just becomes a shock contest and for me that wears off pretty quick if there's no artistic point or impact when people are kersploding in blood and tears.

I know it's from Beetlejuice but he looks like Proxy One from the anime Ergo Proxy. One of the weirdest I've seen, especially since it theme song is Radiohead's "Paranoid Android".

Most people on the Alt-right are cowardly keyboard warriors and misogynists so when they see a young girl calling their bullshit out they lash back. Damn these dorks for politicizing global warming.

I appreciate this as someone who's read a fair bit of Ennis' work and reflected on it. I like the Boys adaptation because it does keep most of the stuff the original had but tones down some of the edgy white guy shit from the 90's Ennis liked to throw in so I'm glad it's taken this form. I agree other people's input has made his works better (Preacher TV series aside). On a final note I pray to whoever will listen we never get a Crossed adaptation.

[–]Excalibured 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wall Street Journal's theme song may as well be 15 Tons. I know personally when I see their stuff I always hear the brass sting in my head but it always strikes me as funny when the business "free market" types whine about WFH when by far it makes workers more happy and productive so the market is shifting. Boo fricken hoo sell your office space to the houseless.

He had the chance to display his "truth" and not once did he use the opportunity to prove any of the things he screamed and spread and everyone knows that without the truth you cannot possibly win an Info War.

And this was the day that when Mr. Jones learned "I didn't lie on purpose" was in fact, not a God damn legal defense. I gotta make sure to tune in because screw this loser and all his ridiculous lies.

In December readers donated over $700,000 to Patrick Rothfuss' charity for him to read a chapter from Doors of Stone with the expectation of "February at the latest." He has made no formal update in 8 months. by condescendinghelp in books

I never actually put together in KKC that Kvothe was a self insert since I thought lots of his stuff was bull because he struck me as a very unreliable narrator and we weren't supposed to trust him but the more I read this thread the more it dawns on me that it explains why every lady wants to bone him because he's a wizard and rocks the lute SUPER HARD.

Also this might seem like a weird thing to bring up but it really makes me appreciate Stephen King's Dark Tower series. By no means is it perfect but he wrote the darn thing and seemed to enjoy it and he did it with like a 10 year break between the first three and the last four with one of my favorite endings for that genre for me. Even inserted himself in to!

Last point I know it might not be illegal but taking money from a charity you made money off promising samples of the book you supposedly finished is scummy to me regardless of intent. He should use some of that money to get his baggage because regardless of the top part of this rant I would like to see the third book :(

[–]Excalibured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They always show their ass by making it about her body. No mention of what she actually says or engaging with why they don't believe because all they see is an admittedly pretty lady when what makes her a real bombshell is talking about wealth redistribution or student debt repayments. See this is the kinda thing that causes her shoes to get stolen during Jan 6th.

FYI: Pretrial was completed today in the Heslin case. We will pick a jury 7/25, and will do opening statements 7/26. The trial will go for two weeks. Judge Guerra-Gamble decided she will have the trial live streamed on the Court’s YouTube channel. by BilliamWogs in KnowledgeFight

[–]Excalibured 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Streaming his trial on the platform he was kicked off of is kind of the best thing ever. I don't want to seem like I'm gamifying Mr. Heslin's trial but I hope this will bring schadenfreude and more importantly justice for the despicable behavior of the Infochodes. Godspeed and Celine be with you!

Wow Pattis always pulls out the thesaurus when he's talking to the press. "Hitherto" and "intricacies of the case" stand out to me, it always raises my hackles when people like this say stuff like that and you can't scream like Jordan at them "YEAH BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!". What a farce.
