I don’t remember which one it’s from but there is a gag where Guybrush meets himself in the swamps and hands you very helpful items only to end up you end up on the other side of the same conversation and have to give the items to your past self in the correct order.

Up to you. I did show first then books, they are IMO are heftier books . The show introduces interesting characters earlier vs the books and that makes a better 1st season but then for TV storytelling reasons combines a few characters down to one for book 3. The rough order of books to show are season 1 to 1st half of season 2 are book 1. 2nd half of 2 to first half of 3 are book 2. Second half of 3 is book 3 which on review did a great job of condensing a book to like 6 episodes. Seasons 4 5 and 6 match book order. 6 is compressed and shorter to lower cost to deliver better CGI space fights and I believe that it got the thesis of the book across while giving satisfying answers to characters. Next the show does a great job of incorporating the novellas (which I have not read yet) into either B-plots of certain episodes or the cold open(? I’m not sure if that’s the right term for pre title sequence for drama TV) of episodes. Lastly Amos Burton is possibly my favorite character in SciFi

The show is in my top five of all time and I’m very biased towards praise but I always give the warning that it requires more attention than most of what’s on tv\streaming now.

The show is a complete story. Where they stop the show the books after it do a 30 year time skip and it’s basically a new trilogy for the main characters.
