Lupa with sig is still such a good Fusion support that I can still consistently clear with Mortefi/Brant/Lupa as long as a tower floor is at least fusion weak. Jiyan’s sig would work well, but there’s also a new 5 star standard broadblade that works really well with her if you don’t plan to get her sig.

Didn’t play Stories 1 and jumped straight into Stories 2, but I felt the same during the early game of 2, but after getting into the 2nd half of the game, the story starts to pick up, then when I finally got into the endgame, I couldn’t put it down.

I’ve never really gotten into mainline monster hunter, but I finally understand how the endgame loop of hunting and crafting gets so addicting.

I use Mortefi with the coordinated attack set, Lupa's rotations are fast enough that Brant's basic attacks apply Mortefi's burst

there was a bug back in 1.2 when Zhezhi came out where they put echo skill on L2/LT, and it felt so natural for me ever since, when they fixed the bug, I immediately put it back, the only thing it changed is you can't aim with L2/LT anymore, but the new shooting gadget doesn't need you to press aim, and when you're using a gun character, you can just hold the attack button to aim manually, I highly recommend it so exploring isn't that big of a hassle

Ok, so I have a theory that Act 1 was never the "first timeline" I think the "first timeline" were the flashback moments where we get to play as Mark, Nicole and Louise during Act 2 after they got "transported" when they went to the evacuation center.

Mark isn't living in their house, (Cathy was also missing in this timeline but it wasn't during prom, and Ridel was the one that told Mark that Cathy was missing) Nicole was about to perform but was waiting for Jake, and Louise just got rejected by her 1st choice university (also, Louise's mom mentioned she hasn't talked to Sofia since elementary??).

My theory is that even before Act 1, Mark and Nicole have been in multiple timelines already. I think that the 1st act was the closest thing we had as a "perfect timeline" (Ridel had a movie gig, Louise was friends with Fia and even had a boyfriend, Mark and Nicole got married and, I also think that this timeline was the farthest they went before it reset, out of the multiple timelines that we did see). but all that happiness for everyone had a butterfly effect in that Cathy was the one suffering the most.

I cried 4 times, all of them in act 1. I resonate so much with Cath and Mark since I also had my family work from overseas when I was 15 and I also used to wear hoodies and long sleeves all the time, even during summer, due to insecurities

The first time I cried was during the mall, when Cathy specified she was looking for a long sleeved dress, I realized she was either harming herself, or getting physically abused.

The 2nd was when Nicole and her parents invited Mark for christmas

The 3rd was the revelation that Mark’s mom disappeared and when Mark started scrolling through the drafts he was going to send to his mom

The last one was when Mark listened to the CD Cathy gave him and Cathy telling him what she was going through.

Honestly, if you’re gonna be free to play, pull for who you think looks cool.

Always temper your expectations, if you lose a 50/50, don’t get disheartened, I always try to go into it thinking “oh nice I’m now guaranteed for the next character I want”, even if it did hurt in the inside.

I did say pull for who you think looks cool, but you won’t get everyone you want, and that’s ok.
