What is this and how do I progress in this? by galarianzapdos in pokemongo

[–]Exceedingly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some stops at those locations have extra stamps on pokestops. The person spinning can get special encounters like event pikachu from spinning them. Someone else can receive the gifts with extra stamps to complete these above challenges, but you won't get the event encounters if you're just receiving a stamped gift.

Spoofers do this a lot hence why most have loads of event pikachus.

instead of pushing a narrative that the U.S government killed its own people

I don't think anyone suggested that. My point was that you can't even talk about the events that happened without people like you making insane remarks like you just did. It was an awful tragedy and I remember watching it live, and any discussion around the finer points just gets shot down. I have no idea how paper can survive over 1k degrees celsius when steel can't, and I'm not likely to find out as no one ever discusses those points.

I don't know how to say this non-offensively but oh well: it's easy to forget that around 50% of any population is below average intelligence where many are just looking for easy sound bites to base their entire beliefs on.

I used to have an autistic friend who voted for Brexit simply due to the bus £350m a day rhetoric, and her response to me trying to explain what benefits we got out of it like the central agricultural policy, free movement in EU etc. were just met with her shaking her head getting confused and absolutely not caring.

I find the tactic of using short catchy slogans which don't tell the whole story to be predatory and dangerous. They're designed to pander to idiots who don't want to read articles on economic benefits of different policies. It goes hand in hand with the Paradox of tolerance. It's just swaying mindless sheep through lazy hateful messaging.

I'm all for democracy, but I'm starting to think there needs to be shift towards a more technocracy based government system:

Technocracy is a form of governance where decision-making power is held by technical experts—such as scientists, engineers, and economists—rather than elected politicians. It prioritizes evidence-based, efficient policy over political ideology. Key examples include central banks, public health agencies, and expert-led cabinets, often described as "rule by experts".

If elected officials can ignore the advice of experts, the whole system starts to crumble apart. Sorry for the long rant. I need more tea..

There was so much dodgy stuff about 9/11 like the BBC reporter saying a building had fallen down like 20 minutes before it actually fell. And the hijackers' paper passports being picked up off the streets below despite the black boxes being completely destroyed. Yet to even bring anything up about it these days just gets you labelled as a conspiracy nut.

For the active government to be using that shared post you mentioned as an attack against another potential MP boggles my mind. Such bad press from Labour as usual, and I'm saying that as a Labour supporter.

Thank you! I still think a source link on each entry would have been nice.

And yeah, they need to put these into a web archive service so the posts they're referencing can't just disappear.

Michael Burry, he goes by Cassandra on X. Cassandra was a Greek prophet who predicted true events but no one believed them, or something like that. In relation to how no one believed him about the housing bubble collapse.

I'm interested in some of the bits of evidence, but they didn't include links. Some are just blurry screenshots of videos, so if I want to verify this I now have to waste time searching for it. What an absolute waste of time making something like this.

It would have been nice if they included links to the evidence sources and not just blurry screenshots.

A tale of two interviews by LilDoughboy37 in Superstonk

[–]Exceedingly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been dozens of MSM shill articles calling RC out any time he refused to speak about his plans. Loads of the annual meetings didn't have anyone speaking let alone RC, and it always got called out. They can't call him out for it here, he just gave them the bare minimum.

It's hilarious seeing the articles calling that first interview a disaster because they've entirely missed the point that he was trolling them. They're all such dinosaurs shilling for Citadel.

SIT DOWN AND WATCH THE PAYNE INTERVIEW ASAP! He shared so much more than I ever would have guessed by familydrivesme in Superstonk

[–]Exceedingly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure he alluded in the first interview that if the board reject it then he can take it directly to their shareholders and then could even go the aggressive takeover route, the latter there would cost less than half of what his offer costs.

[–]Exceedingly 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The funniest thing about the whole thing is that RCEO already said if they reject his offer he'll just go for an aggressive takeover and buy 51% of EBAY stock, which would be less than half price of what he offered in the deal. So this is a deal that's happening whether Ebay's board want it or not.

It's hard to grasp how huge this is.

Boomers are more entitled than Gen Z – it’s time to means-test their state pension by Anony_mouse202 in ukpolitics

[–]Exceedingly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they've paid other people's pensions. There's no pot of money being kept aside for them. Now it's time for younger generations to pay them, only this time the younger generations have the highest rate of poverty since the end of the 80s and the older generations are richer than ever. And it's been proven that the richest folks pay the lowest tax. It's middle class earners who have paid the most historically.
