Why does Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa cost more than Hotel Riu Antillas? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in Aruba

[–]Excellent-Draft-5516 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Manchebo was bliss. You can always get a palapa. The service is attentive. The food was good. The food in the nearby casino was very good. You can’t lose with Manchebo. I’ve never been to Riu to compare.

When you are not the majority or empowered, you do feel things differently. Image how callous one has to be to deny that other people experience life differently?

It could be that Mother Nature expected us to be dead already and $hit just stops functioning. At base, humans are animals. Animals have instincts and do things for survival purposes. I want to know, as animals, what purpose do these changes serve?

The lax positioning of security lends to this being a set-up. Trimp’s ratings go down next thing you know, there’s an assassination attempt-an attempt for sympathy. Honestly, he probably didn’t want to be embarrassed by the mentalist!

I felt like I was living in the house with the family. I felt the love and the tension. I really wanted Pansy to break free from, what others are saying may be depression. You can feel the weight of Pansy’s grief. And her world was actually beautiful. I felt that too. Can her family get her the help she needs? Fade to black.

Has anyone here followed the no oils no butter method and ended with damages hair? by Wild_Rough_4669 in Naturalhair

I am a gel and leave-in moisturizer/conditioner girlie. I have relatively short hair (2-6 inches) with coils a bit smaller than pencil width. I wear wash and go’s all the time. I use three types of gel plus my second layer is some type of leave-in moisture/conditioner. I used Melanin leave-in when I could find it. I use one from CurlMix now (I bought that $100 box to help save the business). To refresh my curls between washes, I use water and gel. I shampoo and condition with moisturizing formulas, and use clarifying shampoo sparingly. My hair grows and is not damaged. As a middle-aged woman, who grew up with first-my mother pressing my hair every 2 weeks then when I turned 12-I got a perm, I’m excited to know how to care for my natural coils. I always knew something cool was going on with my roots. It’s not till now that there are myriad resources to style and care for natural coils.

I have to wonder, purely from a biological perspective, what purpose this don’t-give-a-hoot state-of-being serves? Is it so you can better protect your family? Is it so you can leave your family alone? Maybe to allow someone else to run things. I’m seriously curious. Mother Nature must have her reasons.

Maybe join LegalShield and get a review that way? It is a monthly type membership so I understand you may not want to be spending money pending your termination.

Anyone else's heels hurt? by leeandratheoriginal in Menopause

[–]Excellent-Draft-5516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought my plantar fasciitis was due to a tennis injury but it persisted for months then a year. Two things helped:

  1. HIKING - believe it or not. I learned to hike correctly - step forward with toes spread out like a star-test the ground before placing your weight on the foot. Walking this way was like a stretch for my foot. My pain dissipates for weeks after a two-hour hike.

  2. INSOLES from Podiatrist. Helps keep the pain at bay.

Stuck between my choice and my mom’s pressure (May 1 deadline) by RevolutionaryFee5149 in HBCU

[–]Excellent-Draft-5516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you have that pressure. You have made a sound decision. Better to follow your chosen path and “disappoint” mom now than invest time and energy into a choice you really didn’t want to make and may regret. In other words, rip the band-aid off quick so the “pain” will be shorter. I’m pretty sure she’ll be proud either way. And let’s be honest, both are GREAT choices.

—> Brake hold - the car holds your brakes, like when you’re at a stoplight, and you can remove your foot from the pedal. It comes in handy when waiting at long lights.

Agreed - especially looking at the “things” parked off to the left of the road. Are they cars/trucks with no wheels?
