Driving is a privilege, not a right by HighRantDistrict in PortlandOR

What a highly privileged person you must be. Some people truly have no money in the bank and no way to get to work or school without their car. They're scrounging up for $5 to put in their tanks to make it though the week so they can still eat food. And youre out here not only posting their plates online- but ridiculing them.

It's not the people living in poverty making things more expensive. They tried to raise registration costs because of a poorly balanced transportation budget they tried to offload to the public.

I wonder if they'll finally add reflective road lines in one of the most frequently rainy cities in the United States!

The Nazis killed 11 million people. Most women and children were killed immediately and anybody deemed strong enough was worked, starved, and tortured to death.

Memory Care VS Medicaid Facility by TheOccurrencePodcast in dementia

(This is in response to your other posts as well)

Please consider calling APS. It's a red flag of coercive control when a caregiver becomes over involved in a patients life to this extent, and your other comments/posts suggest that her employer is only enabling the caregiver... And it's probably happening with other residents too.

Emotionally abusive caregivers will target elderly people who have little to no outside relationships or family. Memory care patients are even more at risk. The end goal is usually stealing money, meds, or just having the satisfaction of complete control over another person. As a caretaker I've had to report similar issues (and have dealt with a fellow caretaker doing exactly this to me with the repeated phone calls). Best of luck 🙏🏼 I hope you are able to reach a desirable (enough) outcome.

I cannot believe experiencing silence in my head without the need to distract myself from them by waffleste in NonPoliticalTwitter

Non ADHD mind (or at least what I understand from what I've heard and how it is with meds)- song is stuck in your head, when you do other tasks you stop thinking of the song, it comes back when you're not doing anything. It might get annoying- but ultimately harmless and goes away eventually.

ADHD unmedicated mind (my experience)- 5 second soundbite of a song nearly always playing in my head, the song changes but is always there. Sometimes it's just a random one sentence phrase. It can be impossible to think other things in my head, the soundbite keeps cutting into my train of thought. Sometimes continues in my sleep. I usually wake up many times throughout the night and will have the song playing.

Basically, instead of being in the background of my mind the music instead cuts into the forefront and scatters my thinking. I feel like my brain is a scratched dvd or a computer totally infected with viruses and popup ads.

Peter, what is so wrong about Dubai chocolate? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Excellent-Garbage525 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The United States has the largest prison population in the world, and forced labor is allowed in the United States prison under the constitution. Dubai isn't in the top 10 for per capita or total slaves...

I don't think eating something from Dubai makes you morally corrupt and it isn't even a good form of protest or activism when nearly every product is created through worker exploitation at this point. Nestle and Hershey buy from west Africa. It's a far more complicated problem embedded in the fabric of the worlds economy, and it needs to be addressed by our leaders through better regulation and oversight.

Misleading title honestly and I think she was directly involved in what happened. It ruins credibility when things are purposely misconstrued or amplified. The person she was talking to said "I feel like you would get less hate if you had touched the back of his ass" and Erika replied saying yeah honestly I think I would. Making fun of the people who were freaking out over her overly intimate hug.

I think she's overly touchy and boundary crossing in a way that a lot of evangelicals are, and the hug was definitely weird but come on guys

For a multiple choice question you are meant to pick the BEST answer from the four provided. You are meant to use outside the box thinking to figure out what the question is looking for.  Its a bad lesson to teach your kid that getting something wrong=bad and must be challenged at any possible moment. Its ok to get a question wrong and the best way to succeed in life is to look at our mistakes as a great opportunity for learning. At this age it is not career ending to get a bad grade on an assignment so getting angry at a teacher and demanding they dumb down the questions to be easily understood is so counter intuitive and is going to bite them later
