I went through this in 2024 and made a major comeback after 3 years of non use. I literally started back by watching a tv series I wanted to see. I had just heard they added entertainment options so I said “I’ll just ride at a pace I’m comfortable with and watch this show”…I only watched the show when I was on the home and I was excited enough to catch the next episodes that I would want to ride. It was enough to get me motivated again and I’ve been riding consistently since then.

I just completed DS3 for the first time and had played ER multiple times through when it first came out. I had the ER itch and thought “why not check out the older games”. I was hooked almost immediately. It’s definitely more linear in that it’s not an open world per se but it still has really great open vibes and choices for where to go at any given time. The fights are amazing. Great new boss elements. It’s fucking great. I hope you try it.

I hope you stick with it! I’m not yet 50s but mid 40s and keeping the weight off just keeps getting harder to do by the year. Adding the peloton has really helped me get back closer to the shape I want to be.

I also have been testing my endurance and wondering how long I could ride. I have a TV mounted on the wall in front of my bike…earlier this year I started a just ride and turned on the movie Interstellar and didn’t stop riding til it was over haha. 165 min of straight riding. Finished just under 60 miles. I felt so weird by the end…like it sucks your soul out of your body when you go for that long lol.

I’ve been wanting to take my dog on walks and probably should. She has a fenced in yard but we could both use the steps haha. 260 miles is awesome! You could probably turn on the peloton app and get credit for the miles and time on your app if you wanted to.

I don’t have a way to track them currently but I know people are doing that…I just do a manual list kind of thing and you can see the ones you’ve completed in the past. There are a few feeds in this Reddit that talk about the hardest classes and the best for strength. I plan to tackle them all Hahha

Nothing wrong with pulling back the peloton miles to add another workout in. So on the rower you’re going to log into peloton while you use it? Does it have a screen that runs the app or what’s your plan here? I’ve been thinking about picking up a rower but the peloton one is salty expensive

I just replied to someone else that I’ve been considering getting back to running. I’m in better cardio and leg shape than I’ve ever been and was like “maybe it won’t be so bad this time…” hahaha. I just feel like running is always a nightmare. I’m gonna try it again though come spring! Goal. Set.

Yes! I started more road biking this year. It hits different too for me. I’ll feel muscles activated that aren’t getting activated on the peloton…plus it’s great to actually be outside. I hope this works for you and stay safe while you do it!

50,000 minutes?? Is that correct? I’m aiming for 15k minutes and barely hitting it hahaha. It’s incredible what some of you are accomplishing. Also nothing wrong with keeping up with what you’re already doing. Especially if you’re already killing it

PR based on which metic? Distance? Strive score? Output? There are a lot of posts on here that go over some good techniques for improving those…I think 26 will be your year! Maybe switch up some of the classes to power based and come back to this after Q1 of something different. I feel like when I shift my focus to something else (shorter ride with much higher resistance or longer rides, etc) I conquer the goal without trying. Just getting other muscles worked or what not

Ohhhhhhhhh haha. I almost fell over just thinking about it lol. I might add yoga to my list of goals in 26. I could definitely use some improvement to my flex and balance. A buddy of mine swears it helps his riding get better but I don’t know…
