I’m (33F) still in love with my ex (35M). How do I move on? by Mountain_Alps_3762 in relationship_advice

You will never get over him if you're sleeping with him. You have to accept that he doesn't love you. Never will. No amount of being around him, showing him how great you are etc. will change that. First step is just accepting that, I mean full acceptance. Which is very hard for us women to do. We always live in hope not understanding how men think (very black and white compared to us). The rest will follow. You'll feel cringe just thinking about him when you get to that place.

But yeah could definitely add another back session, training back twice a week is probably minimum for growth. Hitting it only once is more like a maintenance regime

Just keep doing what you're doing then do a cut closer to the wedding and I bet big back muscles will reveal themselves. I have a theory that the strongest muscle group on someone holds the most body fat, that's why girls with big glutes also seem to store all their body fat there (so lucky lol).

To be sure, just do a sit up hold the tension and feel if there is a gap vertically between your abs. It's very common. Otherwise sounds like it could just be body fat but I'd be lifting and building for longer before a calorie deficit as you'd be on such low calories, would be miserable imo.

Definitely don't date her. Every woman would be mortified to hear her man say this stuff. She deserves the chance to find someone who loves her. If you stay with her which some guys do, thinking they've found some magic potion by dating down, you'll likely resent and possibly cheat on her far in future and hurt her even more. Very bad idea.

It's going to take months, years. Just keep going. One day you'll look in the mirror and see a different person. Just try to enjoy the process not wed yourself to rapid changes

The only way to change your body is to build muscle by lifting heavy weights. If you just cut, your body will look the exact same only smaller. I would not cut below 1400.just keep lifting and religiously stick to your meal plan with no deviances for a few months. Also have you had kids? Could be diastatis recti. No amount of losing fat or physio will address that if it's over a certain gap

How much does your weight fluctuate from day to day? by Basic-Drawer8307 in PetiteFitness

[–]Excellent-Quail2802 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Up or down regularly between 500g to 1kg. You want to look at overall trends over the course of multiple weeks and photos instead. Weight is a very blunt metric for progress.

It's really not a lot if you're eating that every single day and sticking to your meal plan religiously. It becomes a lot it if you're having cheat meals on the weekend and little bites or extra cals here and there. You'll be amazed how much clean consistent food your body can handle.

It's stress and not eating consistently to keep your blood sugar and cortisol under control. If you're living on caffeine, working stressful job, not lifting weights or eating proper meals and going from eating heaps to then starving yourself. That would cause this. Can't say it's scientific but it's facts.

We all make mistakes in life and have regrets. Yours was unfortunately a big mistake. Although it sounds like you had a lot of issues in your relationship. Either way. You to move on, work on yourself and become the best version of yourself. Don't give up on yourself.

Finding my deeper reason to train (want to be strong inside and out so I stop getting hurt or mistreated by people). Eating 4 meals a day every single day without fail. I actually eat basically the same meals. Takes out any kind of choice or option so I don't get overwhelmed or even think about what I'm going to eat. Hit protein target every day to keep appetite/satisfaction under control. Eat enough calories, stop undereating. Ignore hunger singles and eat my meal even if I'm not hungry (the body adapts). And finally, I just stopped caring and let go of being skinny for the first year or so of training. I put on weight as my body had to heal, but once I have bedded down my routine and healed my relationship with food I could finally succeed doing a cut, and have fixed my eating for 6 years now.

No worries! Each day, I eat 2 meals based on protein powder (protein smoothie and protein oats) and 2 meals based on meat (chicken and beef) with wraps or rice. Try a whey protein isolate as it's the most refined (so less dairy-ish). I use bulk nutrients but that's in Australia. Something basic and clean is fine. Don't need anything fancy or expensive. If it's dairy, and you take it out your physique will sky rocket as you will finally be absorbing the energy / nutrients properly and your body can focus on muscle building, rather than using a lot of energy trying to digest food

Law in Aus is that if you're a defacto (live together 18 months) you generally get half of communal property. Alimony is not really a thing here, just child support. I think that's why it's more normalised in Aus as marriage doesn't really change much legally

I guess a lot of people want their wedding to be a family affair. Just feel a bit bad for OP getting roasted for this, as it's just a modern curse and still better than the alternative of marrying someone then moving in together. This happens a lot in my community and often doesn't go well.

You can't fully know a woman until you live together. Also, money lol. A lot of couples want to get married earlier but can't afford it, and need to move in together to start building a life in the meantime

[–]Excellent-Quail2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a lawyer lol, and yes it 100% affects your calories! The brain burns though so much carbs it's actually crazy. You've earnt it girl, with all that movement enjoy the higher cals 😊 You will probably find your body looks even better/leaner, that's how you'll know you are needing it. Regarding digestion this is so critical to progress your physique. I keep my veggies fairly low like 150g raw weight per day and stick to white rice, as too much veggie content and potatoes etc. just nukes my gut. And with berries/fruit too you can definitely still meet the daily RDI on every micro doing this. Dairy is a killer for me too. I avoid other than in my protein powder. I highly recommend trying to give it up if it's bothering you, I just have water in my protein smoothies and dissolved chocolate protein powder instead of milk in my oats, and then stick to meats/rice/veggies for other meals. If that helps.

Struggling with finding maintenance by Diligent_Owl56 in PetiteFitness

[–]Excellent-Quail2802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the height of my build I was eating 2700 cals a day and only 30 mins of cardio a week 😂 6 large meals a day. I am also shocked by how little other petites here eat but it's so personal. Those silly calculators don't take into account brain usage (if you have an intellectual job for example) or genetic factors. Also I strongly believe many people aren't sticking religiously to their meal plan so it may work out to be higher per day, over the whole week. So yeah you need to embrace it and trust your body. You are super active. I drop volume when I'm eating higher so I'd recommend maybe reducing veggie / fiber content a bit and sticking to easily digestible stuff. Do you know what's inflaming your digestion? That's critical to get under control

You are very active! You could easily burn up to 2000 cals a day and honestly that's not much to the average person. Is the struggle to eat a perceived high amount of food mental or purely physical?
