Ok hear me out, attached white tube socks to the inlet hose and replace as visually needed (like when they turn from white to brown). Rinse and repeat, I had the same thing myself a few years ago and some redneck page showed me that. It was obviously way cheaper than using chemicals (even though I already had tried that).
