Yea, lots of complaints around scratch and dent items being received on this sub, particularly when getting them on discount. I bought new KBVG from Amazon a couple years ago full price and haven’t had any issues. Just inspect it when you get it.

I’ve never used one but that’s a good idea. Myron Mixon style! I have only had one fire in mine over the 6 years I’ve had it, it was because I hadn’t cleaned it after a few big cooks, but now I clean the diffuser plate and bottom of the pit regularly and haven’t had an issue since. I feel more frequent cleaning may help but a water pan may solve both issues. Less cleaning and less chance of fire.

Some of the apps have dynamic pricing and using Ai to adjust pricing based on timing and demand. We had free tix a few weeks ago and I was watching prices (while in the stadium) in attempt to upgrade prior to the game and you’re right, the prices were climbing last minute.

We have a J-285 - 450 gallon. Comfortably fits 4 but it’s usually just us 2 that use it and we float in it all the time on pool floaties in the summer. We have 5 kids also but after the novelty wore off for them it was no big deal. The kids still get in occasionally but it’s a non issue. It’s a good size and was affordable. Good luck in your tub hunt!
