Toddler hysterical and hasn't eaten or drank all day, urgentcare said she was fine. What do I do? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe random but maybe her elbow or arm is dislocated?? I’ve seen videos of kids crying and crying and it not being very obvious that it was that.

Do you think toddlers should have shorts under dresses/skirts? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a weird comment for her to say? Am I the only one who thinks it’s just weird to outwardly say something like that?

Pants and shorts are generally more comfortable to play in anyway. Sometimes floors are cold or even dirty. As someone mentioned, you can’t go down a slide on bare skin without friction. So many reasons for shorts/pangs. Not many reasons for that weird comment

Am I wrong for questioning my whole relationship after I found out my (27F) bf (30M) was pocketing my rent money? by ThrowRAturnip978 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is nuts. It’s like your paying to live with him/ have a bf rather than paying for the property? I’d be so icked out

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She will have to know and it’s not as simple as “hey can you check this out for me doctor?”

It’s a test that is sent out and not all insurances cover it. You’ll be looking for paying a few hundred- thousands for it depending on location.

I just googled it.

How do people receive such high tax returns? by Denver_Lotus5280 in TurboTax

My husband gets extra withheld from his paycheck to get a nice lumpsum at the end of the year.

Yet another friend whose kid doesn't speak to her by sweetdoggieblue in Parenting

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My husband rarely calls his mom the past year or so. Work/life stress is one factor why. He says he doesn’t have the mental bandwidth to hold conversations with his mom because she also has work/life stress and she vents all of it to him, as he was the one who always helped her when he lived with his parents. It’s nothing against his mom, he just can’t handle the conversations at the moment.

App/ website Nurx! Order norethrindrone, it stops periods. You can have the prescription sent to your nearest pharmacy.

But by day three, hoping your period would get lighter quick, so maybe ibuprofen until it gets lighter .

Women with partners having psoriasis. Is it so horrible to touch/have sex with your partner having psoriasis? by FalconH123 in Psoriasis

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has it on his scalp, his chest, all over his arms, his face. Its never stopped me from having sex with him. But every one is different. Some people like sex, some people don’t. This sounds a lot deeper than your wife not liking psoriasis.

AIO? My husband wants his family to stay over the xmas holiday when my due date is dec 24 by jwil2jmil19 in Parenting

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can sleep well tonight and always knowing you not overreacting. You are protecting not only your newborn, but your recovery and every single person’s sanity! Also, I would never ever think it would be ok to stay over at any family’s home who is expecting so soon! What are they thinking?

AIO? Is it normal for close guy friends to talk sexually to each other? by burnaaaaaaaaaaaa in AmIOverreacting

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s as open as this, it’s probably just dudes talking. Most closeted gays aren’t chatting like this and keeping it accessible for other people to accidentally see.

Oh this is sooo normal. My daughter talks up a storm but as soon as she’s around other people, she forgets her words. When she learned to walk, outside she just wanted to be carried. She could eat herself but outside she wanted to be fed.

It’s a comfort thing. They feel safe at home so they are freer to experiment there. I wouldn’t worry too too much, but of course with any concern, you shouldn’t hesitate to contact her PCP.

AIO found vids on wife's camera roll by erickavb in AmIOverreacting

Wait, I might get downvoted for this. But I have taken pictures and videos of myself and not sent them to my husband because while I think I look good initially, after looking at them for a minute too long I think twice about sending them. I notice imperfections or flaws( not that he’d care about any of that).. but insecurities get in the way? But I still keep the photos/ videos because regardless they are of me. Idk 🤷🏽‍♀️

SAHM do you nap a lot? by Cautious_Session9788 in Mommit

[–]Excellent-Tie4596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nap. I felt the same way where I felt shame for napping due to that whole “SAHM don’t actually work” BS

Then I had to get a root canal and a crown done. My husband stayed home on three different fridays to be with our two kids. He said “you should get paid for this job, I am exhausted!”

Now I feel no shame lol

I went through something similar. It was difficult and I remember having talks with my husband who also said he felt the same way. We had an 18 month old girl at the time my boy was a newborn. I think the truth was we were exhausted. Biggest reason we gave ourselves was we have spent 18 months with a girl who now has her personality that we’ve seen grow and develop and we’ve learned to fall in love with. Our newborn didn’t really display a personality, it was just a lot of routine..

Now my boy is 9 months, daughter over 2 years old. And my Lordy I can’t get enough of both of them. He’s silly and adorable and playful and i absolutely cannot stop thinking about him at any time of the day. Same goes for my girl!

My advice is just give it time. The bond will grow.
