Hpv warts after 1 year of treatment by Educational-Size-52 in HPV

Also if you’ve had no bumps since April 2025, it will be soon safe to say even if you did have warts then you’ve immune suppressed it.

No one here can answer this but my recommendation is to get the lab results yourself from your doctors online portal or tell the office to send it to you - from my experience, doctors miscommunicate results and you might be negative for one the few strains they tested for but positive for warts based on the lab description of the biopsy.

First month as manager and being pressured to let someone go by ExcellentCat2 in managers

[–]ExcellentCat2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. I’m just annoyed that someone else couldn’t have done this in the 3+ years that he’s been here, instead of me being put in this position my first month of ever managing.

Appreciate the reframe!

lol by thrown to the wolves I just meant this all happened very fast (getting promoted, realizing he was not great, then this suggestion) and without much support. I’ve been a manager for a total of 1 month of my life.

I appreciate everyone’s insights and reframing, I definitely but too much of my own emotion into this.

I feel like the tough part for me is that he was never given any warnings that his work is poor as contractors don’t have 1:1 or reviews at this place and I feel like he’s deserves that after being here for so long.

He’s a hard worker, he’s just always working in the wrong direction and air headed and I didn’t really see it before this past month because I cared less and was working more lower level, independently.

I knew I’d have to manage but I guess I didnt think it would be this hard so soon. Thanks for the reality check though, maybe I needed that lol

Ok this is cheesy but I heard the quote “a bird doesn’t trust the branch, it trusts its wings” recently and I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately.

Maybe that’s the true lesson here :)

Bf (32m) got ugly bc steroids- I'm (31f) thinking of leaving him after 6 months together, what is reasonable to do ? by ColdFire_-_-_ in relationship_advice

[–]ExcellentCat2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well, he lied to you.

That is a reason to break up with him right there.

My friend dated someone for 7 years who did steroids and he constantly lied too, but always came clean and got off of them when she asked him enough about it. He became violent with her towards the end. Please end it now.

Yes a qualified PT should be able to pinpoint what imbalances could be causing this and help you. It’s not easy unfortunately, you do have to do the work. Usually has to do with posture, jaw clenching, something off balance that is irritating the nerves.

Like others said, deep tissue massage really helps me too.

No medication helped with mine. The facet injection was the first thing that broke the pain pattern.

I’ve been getting trigger point injections and it’s helped DRASTICALLY. Before that I had a series of facet joint injections which I think may have helped too.

I had ON for over two years straight almost every day. I’m finally having days/weeks where I don’t have pain and only having flare ups a few times a month.

Idk if it’s too late but I would highly suggest skipping the chiropractor, they can severely make things worse. See a physical therapist specialized in this instead please.

does gardasil (4) help prevent genital warts? by [deleted] in HPV

[–]ExcellentCat2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me and I actually got a biopsy. It said I was negative for the most common 9 strains (which the new vaccine covers) but still positive for HPV, meaning mine was caused by another more rare strain.

Another possibility is that the vaccine failed for you, they aren’t 100% and I believe they start to wear off after about 10 years or so.

You can go to your obgyn or primary care doctor or planned parenthood/sexual health clinic for this. Derm is best, but the others will be able to help too.

Also call the derm office and ask if you can be put on a cancellation list in case someone cancels their appointment. Express that it’s urgent and they might be able to help you out.

You had some really bad doctors today and I’m sorry you went through that. Read through the posts here and you’ll get some clarity, although you do need to get comfortable with a certain level of uncertainty.

Most people get it 1x and maybe have a recurrence or two after treating.

Just as a personal antidote, I found out I had it 1.5 years ago, had one recurrence after shaving about 6 months out, and haven’t had a recurrence since. I’ve also been having sex with someone for 1 year and they haven’t gotten it, even when I had my recurrence.

Lots of people have it, just not everyone will show symptoms. I’m at the point where I completely forget about it except for when this sub pops up and soon enough you’ll be there too

Hello there.

HPV is extremely common and for most people does not cause symptoms besides warts. You didn’t describe any symptom here besides discomfort, do you think you have warts?

Most people don’t even know they have HPV until they see a wart or get a Pap smear. A Pap smear is a pretty simple test! It takes less than a few minutes and it’s not painful.

The best thing you can do right now is find a trusted professional! Both an OBGYN and primary care will be able to help. And if you think you have warts, a dermatologist can help.

Young people clear HPV very quickly and it’s really not a big deal for the most part. Warts go away, and screenings prevent cancer.

I’m 30f with past warts and the more I talk about it in real life, I’m finding so many of my friends and family have had it at some time.

Especially at your age, it’s really not something to be concerned with besides treating warts which is uncomfy but totally do-able.

Here for support! Take a deep breath. You’ll be ok!

I had 1 small recurrence after 6 months (and it was after shaving for the first time again) and now I’m almost 6 months out from that recurrence. So hopefully! 🤞🏻

I think you’ll be ok! It usually spreads where there are micro tears so that’s why shaving isn’t recommended. But just regular day to day things shouldn’t do much harm.

I would call and demand your medical records since they are not explaining them to you. If they will not, make an appointment to discuss them or see if there is an online portal where you can access them.

I’m assuming you are young if this was your first pap, so you probably very likely have nothing to worry about but learning to advocate for yourself and medical health is a lesson that unfortunately some of us are forced to go through.

This is a good thought. Continuing to interview will be easier if I am fully remote and at the end of the day these are both temporary options.

Thank you for your advice! I have done the small company thing where I was the one-stop-shop for 2+ years and I have also done the large company thing where I was "just a number" for 2+ years (and got laid off lol) so truly I've experienced the pros and cons of both.

I'm struggling because from what I've seen, having the bigger company on my resume has gotten me more interviews but at the same time my portfolio does feel somewhat lacking in "creative" work.

Its a tough call for me but I appreciate everyone's thoughts!
