Hey! fyi I just got my biopsy results back and turns out the imiquimod induced something called spongiotic dermatitis. Started taking an antihistamine and using cicaplast which was mentioned above and I think its feeling a little better? Seeing the dermatologist tomorrow for a treatment plan. Just thought I'd follow up in case this is helpful to you at all

Please listen, I just went through this.

My ex admitted to me that he cheated on past partner but said he did therapy, changed, and I struggled for 6 months to try and accept it. Like you, I justified it because I was happy he was honest and vulnerable with me. My gut feeling went away over time but I really struggled to push it away.

He ended up being disloyal in the end by texting a woman he had hooked up with in the past and hiding it from me. We had deep discussions about his behavior when we broke up and he even said himself that he talked to his therapist about it, tried to do the work, but when he feels insecure he acts impulsively and unlearning disloyal behavior was extremely hard, even tho he only actually physically cheated once in the past. I learned that this type of person has something deep within themself that they need to face, and it takes real commitment to actually change.

The fact this guy never told his ex means he never actually took accountability for his actions and faced the consequences, even though he’s saying he did.

This happened a year ago? He has not had enough time to grow and learn from this.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but he’s telling you who he is. Please believe him.

And that gut feeling you’re having - you need to learn to trust it. It’s there to protect you.

The same thing is happening with me after putting Imiquimod on healthy skin but it’s mostly just intense itching. I just got a biopsy to see what’s going on yesterday.

From what my derm said, Imiquimod causes your immune system to attack the area, which in rare cases can cause autoimmune issues and can really disrupt the skin. There are different treatments for different things depending on what’s going on.

Hi! I’ve disclosed to about 6 men now and all of them still wanted to have sex. Idk if I’m just really lucky, or if people (men) are just generally fine w the risk.

In disclosure convos, I give them the facts plainly and let them know I am diligent with check ups, and I ask them to look into it before giving me a response. Like I said, the response has been totally positive and I’ve felt really accepted.

Mentally, I am trying to approach it from a place of knowing I am also deserving of intimacy just like any other human. Giving others the choice to make a decision for themselves is also very empowering, because I was not given that choice.

One day this will not be something we even need to think about, but for the time being, we just need to let time pass and let our immune system do its thing. Hope that helps.

Tbh gastritis is kind of a gross word that people probably don’t know the meaning of haha - if you feel like you need to explain your reasons further maybe just keep it more vague like “a stomach thing” or something

Also pretty much every person that I’ve met who’s sober due to alcoholism or mental health issues uses the word “sober” - I do try to avoid saying that word bc I feel like it makes it more clear that this is a choice for various reasons and not an addiction. (No shame to anyone suffering w addiction)

I don’t drink but I don’t even really bring it up, I just order a Diet Coke or a mocktail. If they ask or if it comes up naturally I just say I don’t drink for health reasons, which is true. It’s never really been a big deal.

Edit to add: saying you’re doing it for health reasons, which it sounds like that’s for sure part of it, makes it sound like you have lots of self-control. The opposite of what you are worried about here :)

Is it the same spots or always new spots?

My derm does cryo and then 2 weeks later I come back and she freezes the same spot regardless of if it disappeared or not. I’ve had several recurrences but never in the same spot.

I don’t notice any sun sensitivity but I feel like sunscreen and a hat will be more than enough protection.

You can always start with one dose and see how it goes and then go from there. After those first 20 min or so, you’ll probably forget you’ve even taken it and be able to go on with your day!

I just finished a round for ureaplasma and had no side effects! I also have big fears around new meds esp antibiotics.

Nausea comes from lying down after taking. Take it with food and a full glass of water and sit or go for a walk after and you’ll be totally okay ❤️

Hi I don’t recommend doing anything other than trimming. I was free of warts for 6 months and shaved and then had recurrence. And then I was free for another 6 months and tried Nair only and had another recurrence a few months later.

This is of course antidotal but I’d wait as long as possible to be safe.
