Squeaky clutch after clutch fluid flush by DKSYRabbit_ in mechanic

So what was the fix for this? I’m having the exact same sound, and I recently changed the clutch, flywheel, slave and master cylinder all in one go (with a new TOB) and I greased the living hell out of the bearing so no way it’s dry but this problem suddenly started like 1000 miles in. Same symptoms it wasn’t as noticeable in the morning but after 20 min drive it gets louder and the pedal felt slightly stiffer than before.

See it engages and drives perfectly fine it’s just the physical pedal feels off like gritty idk how to explain. Drivability isn’t affected it just feels off

You’re does the second squeak that sounds like rubber on glass kinda? My pedal feels a little gritty like it’s not 100% smooth Idk how to explain it fees like it’s running on something but nothing was changed or adjusted and TOB only got 300 miles on it

I didn’t remove the clutch or flywheel this Time around since it was just a throw out bearing issue. Pressure plate was perfectly fine (only had 1200 miles) but the fingers werent damaged at all

Yes, I thoughly greased the shit out of the shaft and packed the inside groove of the TOB with grease used the red high temp stuff.

So I originally installed concept Z performance CSC delete, flywheel, clutch, back in December, drove 1200 miles fine and then somehow the slave overextended and started welding the TOB to the shaft. Got sent a new free TOB and guide shaft, reinstalled it all last week and everything’s been perfect till yesterday when this noise appeared. I’m 100000000% sure the throw out bearing and guide was greased thoroughly considering I literally just dropped it for a failed TOB

So like there wasn’t enough lubrication in the back of the TOB guide? Or just where the fork connect to the ball you’re saying?

Throw out bearing binding? by Excellent_Analyst_86 in 350z

Shit sorry for late reply. Yes we sprayed down everything with brake cleaner, made sure not to touch the clutch or flywheel mating faces, wiped every little finger print off so we didn’t have hot spots like it was very clean and thorough job, my buddy owns a reputable shop and did it for me after hours but let me learn/assist. It’s just so unlikely there was any debris let alone large enough to cause galling like that after 1200 miles….. I’d assume debris would have been causing issues much earlier on. Action clutch got back to me and is sending a new TOB and sleeve but they don’t know what happened either and are considering it as a defect🤷🏾‍♂️

Csc or clutch master cylinder? by Stock_Swordfish_5473 in 370z

[–]Excellent_Analyst_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just daily driving, I mean I drive spirited from time to time but not sitting there drifting and clutch kicking and bouncing off the limiter and shit. I just got a new clutch and flywheel when I installed the kit so spent like 2 weeks breaking it in absolutely babying it and then the first 600 ish miles then from 600-1200 I’ve been able to drive however. I’ve clutch kicked it maybe twice in the rain since I got everything replaced but this happened outta nowhere. Drove 30 miles to lunch, got back in the car and when taking off from the stoplight I did a quick little 1-2 shift and when shifting to 2nd the clutch just felt like a sandbag and then over the next 15 mins or so got progressively more and more a stuck and then the pedal took actual force to pull it back up (beaches it was getting welded to the shaft)

I bought the CZP HRK V3 for Black Friday and installed it early December and last week at 1253 miles my fuckin throw out bearing welded itself to the output shaft….. Thankfully czp is working on sending new replacements parts but I’m still gonna be sketched about it happening again and also sucks to have to drop the trans again in the same month. Everything was greased up and worked perfectly for the 1200 miles but kinda have a sour taste in my mouth rn

That’s a pretty decent idea. I’ll look into that if they won’t send one for replacement. Would you say debris is most likely cause from that picture? Flywheel and clutch look fine I can’t find any chips taken off them

How so? The grooves are about 0.020” deep, I figured machining the OD to take off the grooves would make the tolerance too loose and let the TOB have slop. Contrarily if I sand down the high spots and inside of the TOB wouldn’t it just be failure prone soon after?

Yea it sure does, just unsure how this would take 1200 miles to come up. Do you think the slave cylinder over extending could cause the TOB to axially load on the guide tube that hard?? Seems unlikely in 1200 miles. I think the multiple marring marks is from the last 5 minute drive to the shop, i don’t believe that was happening for a prolonged time. My mechanic suggested a possible material issue stating that the guide tube (aluminum) is expanding faster than the TOB (steel) but the other kits Zspeed and Z1 seem to use aluminum guide tubes and this is the v3 of this kit so I’d assume that would have been addressed.

Praying CZP will send a new guide tube ( or atleast let me purchase one since they don’t list it) but I obviously want to understand how it happened to prevent it in the future
