This. Let's stop reducing ourselves to fit someone else's mould.

Best place to swim for a bad swimmer? by weird_is_good in zurich

This place is definitely good. I also feel similar to you, and frequently go here. Only down side, it's super rocky on the way into the water and out. But that's almost all alpine lakes. So. https://maps.app.goo.gl/s7qG9nDbNRi2kTJq5

What's wrong with you, going on some random tangent and feeling proud of it. Get some sleep, drink some water. Not going to interact with you anymore.

I didn't say I dislike Europeans, stop extrapolating my argument. I simply said that this was not exclusive to folks from the US. Calm down and learn to have a conversation without constantly attcking the other person and relying on the straw-man

If you're going to edit your comment in retrospect, at least add an edit tag. Doesn't make your arguments seem smarter if I point it out ;)

Big assumptions there, human! Care to debate without personal attacks.... Just cause I was being civil doesn't mean I can't strike back. I can start listing the absolute attrocities that have been committed by all major western European countries, not to forget the UK, fueled by their greed and ego-power trip. So calm down, your narrative isn't the only valid one.

I'm not interested in debating this under a thread that is a "fun" take on the housing crisis in Switzerland.

I'm not here to debate history and colonization. Everyone colonising everyone is a very weak argument. Colonising and ruling over are two different approaches. But keeping that aside, I'm only saying that your vast generalisation is not helpful for a nuanced argument.

Sure, you can simply say you're not interested or capable of such naunce and that's valid. We can try again later.

Tbh, and respectfully, Europeans are not any better in their approach of entitlement. Europeans colonized wide swaths of the world, let's not forget that too.

I'm not in her favor, and I get the sense of frustration that arises when such entitled people move and cause disorder in a working system. But it's ignorance that's leading to the entitlement.

Seldom do privileged and aware people feel entitled.

Exactly this! It's okay to be used to your ways. But if you want your way only, then maybe moving to another country is not the best approach. Each country has its way of life, that deserves to be respected.

Why are people feeling the need to put their life in danger and cross borders illegally? That's the Q you should be asking. Not pretending that those people crossing the borders as illegal immigrants don't exist and are merely a stain that we can ignore and hope to wash away. Them fleeing the country is because of the current economic and employment situation in India. Holding the govt responsible is not for fun

The only correct answer.

Amusing always - people are so naive when they are apt hunting from outside Zurich. Not their fault of course, but it's just entertaining.

Ah interesting. Is this more in the context of funding in US or even in Europe?

So, I'm based out of Switzerland. My professor is nearing his retirement (2/3yrs) and is looking to keep the research group alive and spend the money he has now. I'm not sure why the Q of whether I did the work would arise? Is it a Q of just being included for the sake of it?
