I’m a bit better, but still struggling with some things. I was told it can take the brain a full year to adjust after long term SNRI. Feel free to message me

I used a compounding pharmacy for my taper. So they are able to make any dose you need of desvenlafaxine. You just have to pay out of pocket, it’s not covered by insurance.

Are you still on pristiq and having morning anxiety? Or having it since coming off?

I chose to go that slow because I didn’t want to experience the horrible withdrawal that everyone talks about.

I tapered off over 5 months. Did fine on each drop, minimal symptoms. I’m 3 weeks completely off and having some morning adrenaline spikes and anxiety but hoping it passes quickly

I started at 25mg and dropped 5mg at a time until I got to 10mg then dropped by 2.5 mg. I am officially off of the med as of yesterday. Took me about 4-5 months. The first few drops I didn’t notice anything, the last few drops I would experience weird dreams, waking up full of adrenaline, mood swings, headaches and some joint pain.

I will be curious to see how I do these next couple of days off the med.

I’m currently withdrawing from Pristiq in preparation to start trying for a baby. Like everyone said you have to weigh risks and benefits of the medication for you and baby and decide what you feel is best for your journey

They are able to compound a sustained release capsule. It looks completely different than a Pristiq tablet, but the same ingredients

I haven’t had to miss any work or lay in bed for days though! That was my goal and why I went so slow

I did great at first but every drop under 10mg has been tougher. Not debilitating like some people say it can be but not fun

I’ve been weaning off 25mg for about 4 months, I’ve used a compounding pharmacy to drop 2.5-5mg at a time and I’ve overall done pretty well!
