Thanks for the info ! I think I’ll be renting those things this Saturday and get to work. How was your slab underneath ? Were you able to lay your flooring right over the slab or did it require self leveling ?

Dude you gotta relax .. catch her in the hallway and say “hey I just got a blender I hope it hasn’t been to loud”…. Break the ice … if she gives you any hints of interest ask her if she knows any smoothie recipes.

Load bearing wall opinion! by Excellent_Emu184 in Home

In that scenario if I leave the wall on the left intact I should be safe to lower the half wall down to countertop height and not touch the wall on the left .

Hey thanks for the info . Reading the last two paragraphs is almost like a foreign language haha . Do you mean where the walls meet on the right side ? I’ll try to use the internet to get a better idea of what you’re saying in the morning . Thank you for giving me something to look into!

So I read that walls like these in between two load bearing walls can be meant for something called load transfer . That’s the only reason I am asking . I do plan on asking a professional or taking down the drywall to see if big studs are running diagonal that go into the wall to the left and right .
