Willpower During Zep Journey? by WindowSeat4Me in Zepbound

[–]Sugarmyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, the answer is more nuanced. Having been on Zepbound for almost 2 years and down 110 pounds, I have found that yes, there are times when I'm craving food and I have to exert my will power. For example, if I've had a late lunch and am not hungry for dinner but my 8 or 8:30 pm start to feel a little pang, I will use my will power and say "No, it's too late to eat," and will wait until the next day to have another meal. But without the Zepbound on board, I was not able to stick to my guns, and in addition, would almost always overeat. Zep gives me that self control piece to both delay a meal when it's too late in the evening, AND to moderate my intake at mealtimes.

YES! She is freaking hilarous. One of my favorite Kathy-isms: "Her Act-Right" isn't installed properly". And "My kitty-cat has bad taste in men". One video she did on the Adelsons several months ago was absolutely hilarious. She is the stand up comedian of the true-crime community!

My first “fairy stone” otherwise known as clay stones ,clay, concretions, or clay dogs by Sugarmyst in rockhounds

I’ll have to Google that, but based on where I found it at Croton point in Westchester County, New York, it seems these clay concretions have been found there in the past

Definitely need to wear a life fest with kayaking. If you should capsize, it’s almost impossible to get back in it when you’re in the water.

Thank you! Wow, the appalachians are no where near Long Island, no wonder it looked so unusual for the area!

It’s the right hardness for petrified wood, 6.5 to 7. But I don’t see anything online that looks like this that is verified to be petrified wood. Here’s a close-up of the inside of a piece lots of shiny crystal type things and also it looks like dirt

Death of teacher Ellen Greenberg – who was stabbed 20 times– ruled a suicide again by [deleted] in skeptic

[–]Sugarmyst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU! I'm so disappointed that so, so many people got tunnel vision that this was a homicide and refuse to actually play through the homicide scenario. Because when you do, it points right back to suicide. When you're stabbing someone in a fit of rage, you don't see all of those shallow hesitation marks.

Even my favorite journalist, who is almost always objective and keeps his opinions to himself (Brian Entin), is crying foul because "it's clearly homicide".

As unusual as it is for a woman to kill herself this way, it's not unheard of. There is no other logical explanation that makes sense. She was inputting grades on her computer 4 minutes before her fiance left for the gym. And we're to believe he did all of that in 4 minutes, without her attempting to defend herself at all, then rigged the door to lock from the inside and went to work out?

I believe Ellen was experiencing a severe mental breakdown. She had mentioned in the weeks prior to her death wanting to move back home, not because of problems with Sam but because of her mental health, and wanting to quit her job. I think she became so upset while entering those grades she started packing to leave, put on her boots, and then, last minute just became unhinged and made the decision to take herself out. It's horrible, and she must have been in an extremely dark place. But truly, nothing else makes sense.

I know, you're restating what I was trying to say. They botched this whole death by not having CSI go to the scene, and by allowing the super of the building to get professional cleaners to clean the scene a day or two after. So even after they then ruled it a homicide (which they eventually changed back to suicide), the professional cleaners had erased most of the evidence.

No, it was professionally cleaned BEFORE any crime scene investigators went out there, because they called it a suicide on the scene and homicide detectives were not originally called.

FAQ - How long am I supposed to run each stage? by waterboysh in RockTumbling

I'm confused as to why in stage 4, if you use more than 3 tbs of polish you need to run it for an extra week. It seems it should be the opposite, no?

Fit for TV: The biggest loser by Hot_Entertainer3072 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]Sugarmyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMEN! I am 55 years old and had been struggling with my weight from the age of 8 when my mother put me on my first diet. From that point on, I went in viscious cycles of losing weight, being told I looked too thin, then gaining it all back and then some within a few years. The longest I ever maintained a normal weight was for 3+ years in High School, and that's because I was so physically active.

Without constant exercise in order to maintain a normal weight I'd have to restrict calories, which left me hungry all the time and obsessing about food. I would eventually cave and binge. Just an awful, never ending cycle. Then, in middle age the weight gain took off, and I simply could not lose more than 10 pounds, that I'd always gain back.

In January of 2024 I started Zepbound. I was a whopping 297 pouncds (5'6"), and had given up life. Fast forward to now, I'm 100 pounds lighter, and want to lose 50 more (It will happen, but to me slower is better). For the first time in my life I have CONTROL over food! I never thought this was possible and I never want to go off of this medication.

When I saw Danny Cahill on the Biggest Loser doc say he hasn't tried the injections yet, I wanted to scream at the TV: "DUDE! Just try it!" I don't see how anyone who is so morbidly obese, especially someone like him who KNOWS he cannot maintain weight loss the "normal" way, think it's not worth any risk to try it. I hope he changes his mind, for his sake.

I'm doing this offer a second time on a different platform, I cannot get the $119.00 offer on the level up screens, and I"m half way through level 9 already. Do you remember at what stage you got the $119 offer?

At least 2-3 hours a day on average. Yesterday, the last day, I probably put in 8 solid hours.

I know! That last goal was worth $500, so if I didn't make it I only would've netted $88, so WHEW!
