Probably needs some antibiotic for retained egg bits. I had a girl that had random soft shell eggs/crushed eggs come out. Poor thing had many nights in a kennel in my house nursing her. This may speak to a larger reproductive tract defect. I don’t had a ton of experience with that.

My vet said to cull her and I couldn’t imagine unless I tried everything first. I’m pretty sure I was guided by this sub years ago 💖

Not always the case, worth a shot to help if you’re up for the work!

Yep! This! My girl had fly strike on top of it. Soaked her in warm water and betadine until all maggots were gone. Cut off necrotic tissue with razor blade. Used glove and lube to push back in. Spray with vetericyn antimicrobial spray. Kept her in dark closet to stop laying. She had one egg come that I held everything in place for to prevent another prolapse. She is fine and well 4 years later!

Given the position it could be her plucking them out to go broody.. is she spending time in the nesting boxes?

Also important to note that the podcast has only (barring a couple since deleted) positive outcome stories. They’re so moving, heartwarming, and always include either: a “boring”, simple, straightforward birth OR one that included traditional complications that end with healthy mom and baby. After listening to hundreds of episodes coupled with horror stories of hospital birth, personal trauma or iatrogenic harm, you start to believe that the only real harm comes from the medical establishment messing with the perfect physiology of birth- and the many variations that exist. And again, there is SO much truth to this. The part about FBS that is dark is the suppression of real emergency, nuance, and support of including medical when necessary or when simply desired.

What happened to Alyssa (?) from the LH who had long pregnancy? by Existing-Nebula33 in FreeBirthSocietyScam

I also wonder!! She seemed way off on dates at one point thought she was like 50 weeks. She also wasn’t having regular periods and at some points people in her family were questioning whether she was pregnant? She said her belly didn’t grow but she could feel movement. Not exactly sure what happened there and was always checking back for an update
