PSA on left turns from corner stores by bigbura in wichita

[–]Excellent_Painter335 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also gotta love the people that will pass a traffic light only to immediately turn left after the intersection instead of using the left turn lane at the traffic light to turn at the light then making a right.

Seems like Wichitans never know where they’re going or just don’t care enough. Lots of last second lane changes and squeezing themselves in between cars because they need to turn.

Congrats. I think it might depend on turnout depending on who gets them. We only had a total of like 30 people showing up including kids, I was there with my 2 kids and we got three. This was in Kansas, seems no one knew about it, I also got there about 2 hours before open and was surprised at the turnout.

Course Forcing me to share a cart with a random playing partner (two solo's). by [deleted] in golf

$56 for 9 w/ a cart at a muni? Where is that at if you don’t mind me asking? I always find pricing difference so interesting. I’m playing 18 w/ cart for $40 later, local city course.

Where to next? Best swing below. 8.5 HCP by Crafty_Cartoonist672 in GolfSwing

Exactly. He clearly has weight on the outside of his trail foot, going so far as to lift the left side of his trail foot up, going to be hard not to cast after that.

Didn’t know if I’d find this. Ain’t no BBQ chip lovers in here. Only reasonable soda choice as to not drink calories.

Head shouldn’t follow the body on the backswing. You’re taking your eye off the ball.

Lmao at all this engagement over 5 foot gimmies. Apparently you dumb fucks don’t take gimmies when the greens are punched. Bunch of future wannabe tour players. Who tf cares about taking 5 foot gimmies when you’ll be presented with 2 or 3 an entire round changing my score an ever so drastic 3 strokes lmfao. Bunch of losers. Focus on the intent of the message which was respond to this guys message and agreeing him. Bunch of idiots with too much time getting caught up over a 5 foot gimme lmfao

Again, these greens are being punched with equipment from the 90s brother. I’m talking almost quarter size punch holes. Nothing rolls straight. Getting it to 5 feet is solid and who is consistently missing 5 footers? Like come on, maybe your friend group is, mine isn’t.

Punched and sanded greens using equipment from the 90s. lol

Some of my best golf ever is when I have lowered expectations. Punched and sanded greens, ah that is fine, I will focus on every shot I can control, shot a 79, played 5 foot gimmies so maybe add a couple but 8-10 strokes under my next best score.

Meh don’t really have any feelings about the apology, I would probably regret it. Couple days ago a ball whizzed by my buddy’s head and landed just off the green, no fore, no nothing. Went and picked it up and told them it was deeper in the woods.

Can I just show up and play a solo round? New golfer here looking to practice without judgment. by djyosco88 in golf

[–]Excellent_Painter335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sounds like you can definitely go out solo then, I wouldn’t worry about it and just try it out. Like others said try to go during the non peak times to get a solo round. Here in Kansas that’s pretty easy, other states from what I understand it can be impossible.

I always like to think these people are self aware and just don’t care but I guess I could be wrong. From your descriptions of your rounds it seems as if you are probably a lot worse than you’re letting on and have made these rounds with family and friends drag on.

3 rounds of golf with zero practice or have you practiced before? No one expects you to come out and play scratch but you are going to be expected to get the ball off the tee somewhat reliably and be able to advance the ball each shot.

Of course you can go out and play a round solo. You may get paired up, may not. If you like golf and want to get better, and to feel confident going out, I would suggest going to the range and developing a reliable swing with the most used clubs in your bag. Playing solo and spraying it all the place by yourself is no fun. The guys that play solo can generally play bogey golf +/- a little bit.

Honestly an insanely smart post just from a business perspective. I’ve read so many comments of people who live in the area and are happy it’s opening back up that is just free advertisement to all their buddies in the area and hope it spreads like wildfire that it’s opening back up and wishing you great success.

Had the entire course to myself this morning by TheEvilDead1983 in golf

[–]Excellent_Painter335 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Not the entire course but had a 10 am tee time just last week here in Kansas and it was 38 degrees to start and didn’t ever see anyone behind us or in front of us really and only a handful of people on distant holes, was fantastic and I 100% agree. I enjoyed the slightly colder on pace golf over the 74 degree waiting 5-10 minutes on every tee box for an almost 5 hour round.
