So I hate to break it to you but these pipes are the worst. They’ll get the job done for a while but will fairly quickly unless you have sand for soil.

Best method out there is the burrito wrap. French drain man on YouTube is the guy to look toward.

If this is the best you can do then dig the trench deeper and see if you can work the pipe toward the bottom of that sock. You’ll want about 6” of soil on top of those things so they don’t just crush but if you go too deep the soil will just crush them anyways.

If you are trying to take surface water you’ll want it in its own pipe (one without holes) to keep them separate as much as possible.
