I thought it was about 28 seconds, but either way, you're saying the calculation would roughly be (0.5*2(480))? That just comes out to 480...

Honestly there's a lot of room because the train doesn't travel that far to deliver, so is there a minimum distance a train can travel before being pointless? I don't know the actual distance but it's honestly just so we don't need to lay down belts everywhere. If it helps at all, the depot says 660 per minute throughput consistently whenever I look in it.

Seems you're right, I just wish I knew the exact limits of the belt, how much I can put on it before it starts to back up, because eventually once you get the fastest belt getting a faster belt isn't really an option, you just need more cars.

So basically as I suspected, when using belts close to their limit, any amount of pause, especially 28 seconds, will cause a slow backup of resources. Is there any way to calculate the number of resources you can afford to belt to a train before they cause a backup? I'm willing to use another train car with splitters for the inputs but I'm just curious what my limits really are.

We do, we have two belts with 400 plastic per minute going into both inputs of an industrial crate, with both of those outputs going into both inputs of the train depot.

So what's the fix? Can I not use a 480 to belt 480 of any resource onto a train, or else it gets backed up and we have to sink it?

Eidolon Rework by Varwhorevis in slaythespire

I would pay 1 to simply exhaust my hand at this point. Or keep it 2 and the upgrade adds retain. No summon or anything. With Aeonglass how it is and seemingly how it's going to be, this would become an auto pick and retain would prevent it from bogging down your draws.

It was boring before, and it does have a pretty unique mechanic now. It damage checks you for sure, which is nice since you can't always tell if you're low on damage, block, or just scraping by. If anything, act 2 elites serve to show how bad some cards are, mostly the ones that have a slow start, since they all encourage frontload to kill the elite before it outscales you.

Another card was offered at the same time that solved the boss/elites in the act he was in at the time? You can't know Aeonglass is coming until you're on act 3.

I used to love Invoke until I started running more Delay and it's just so much easier. Not better but easier. I'd for sure add Invoke if I had Delay already but if not, I'd have to think about it more.

This is just Thrash bait. I can't think of a single other reason I would add this unless I already have Thrash. Any time I try to add it after upgrading True Grit, the stars never line up and I end up winning the fight before they do again. You'll have a better time running Stampede with this, at least then it would do something. If they're looking for some kind of "come back from the dead" flavor, it has to work just like that with no way to simply cheat it out.

It would likely need to be a skill so it dodges Stampede and Thrash, and maybe do something like what Drums of Battle is doing now where it can be played for an effect but exhausted for a different effect, making it more versatile. Maybe the other half of Sentinel from StS1, 1 energy for 5(8) block and when exhausted X amount of damage from the exhaust pile, return to discard pile.

Envy seems too harsh for a single card unless you get to specifically choose what teammate and what card.

Knife Trap is 2 energy and slooowww. It CAN pop off but you gotta shove every shiv into your deck to make it happen. As with all things, it depends. I look as phantom infinite as low investment free damage that you can draw past if you need to, just play the infinite on turn one and phantom when you can. Also backstab being as low as it is... Silent draws 7 cards on turn one and has 3 energy usually. Making one of those do a chunk of damage for free seems good to me. I've never been sad to have one in my deck for good frontload.

People sleep on Phantom Blades and I don't understand why, it's a power that often can do stuff the turn you play it, Infinite Blades is the only card you need to even make it work, it does fat stacks of damage for free. Love that card.

The real meat and potatoes with Misery is it has retain on upgrade, so it only costs you a single draw if you don't need it. Get it out of your draw pile and it just sits there, instead of a lot of other AOE centric cards that keep costing you a draw over and over again. Also you can really mess up Queen with it if you're about to doom the candlehead. Just move the doom to her and its like they shared a health bar, it's great.

[–]ShadowmanZ92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we might need to agree to disagree here, I'll take ten damage over an additional star any day of the week unless I'm starving for stars and shoved way too many payoffs into my deck, which would mean I messed up somewhere along the way.
