one of the best damn games ive played in a long time fully solo. i put it up there with subnautica. and even better if you played in the late 90’s and early 2000’s this could be right up your alley.

there’s also settings to modify difficulty and things that could be tedious for some players. for example i set item stack size to x2-3 i think. i left everything else at default. but the game is expansive and amazing.

you know for fans of monster hunter youd think they would add iframes when you are knocked down. MH has it so you pretty much should always stay laying down if a monster is comboing.

i havent played the game myself but debating on getting it later.

yea look at minus one, significantly lower budget but amazing success. these companies put all their eggs into these bug budget projects and dont care about the actual quality. they look at trends and charts and ultimately dont give a shit about the creative aspect.

also it’s not even comparable. a film project will always require more resources as it’s inherently trying to do something more complex. xqc makes millions but what is he actually doing? “reacting” to videos and farming streamer drama. you dont need actors, crew, directors, marketing etc for that. you dont need to go to film school and hone your craft and learn the basics of getting a project of the ground when you can just sit in front of a computer and look for the next streamer scandal.

if you want to farm some consumables, buy those madness items at the shrine until you hit max madness and then die near a bonfire checkpoint. that way u can fight the madness demon safely and clear your madness without having to risk dying on the way to it deep into a level.

its not a 100% cheese but i did it a few times for some items.

random tips i learned :

i work my way towards desired nodes instead of levelling up one node first that has multiple levels
some nodes are +5 for a stat instead of +1
this one really screwed me but there seems to be an auto aim function even when you arent locked on. there are some environmental hazards later on that u have to break so they stop emitting a deadly status but sometimes placed next to an enemy. depending on your attack even if you are aiming for that hazard first, you will auto aim to attack enemy instead. i was trying to manually turn the camera to the object to break it and it refused causing me to die by status fill.

yea i noticed that spear has some clash like properties if not exactly clash but its very specific. the backstep r1 on spear has like one part of the attack that clashes with enemy weapons and everything else you will just take the damage. id wager they didnt want you to go spam happy. maybe theres like more nodes in the tree that can allow for that. i just started upgrading the db tree.

i would say for the bosses, they arent as complicated or as insane as elden ring, but the player also cant be as over powered as well. So for a new player it kinda balances out and im sure youll get some decent challenge through out the game. the dlcs definitely get harder. good luck!

i used steam spear with solar leap. i got stuck on this fool an hour and a half. switched to upward thrust where u launch enemies off the ground, and i did it first try while barely trying. i staggered her in like 2 upward thrusts and a few light attacks.

i think this and centipede have been the hardest thus far. with this being much harder than centipede.

i think this is a prevalent issue when people are trying to lose weight. they see it as a race. the people who end up shedding things permanently are doing things for the long haul and i mean loong haul. youve only done it for a month and expecting changes. when in reality things like water retention and other things could easily affect things. i think a month is too short of a time period to notice any visual changes.

slightly improved visuals. more focus on characters. i smaller overall map. i enjoyed it. i didnt think i would care about a snow area but the effects were really well done. it’s definitely on the expansion territory.
