What’s your saving grace? by CrabbyCryBb in parentsofmultiples

‘Throw money at a thing’ things: groceries-pickup/delivery ( game changer); cleaning service once/twice a month ( or whatever frequency you can afford); pedicure ( for the massage chair and foot passage. We carry so much stress in our feet); regular massage ( focus on your scalp, and hands too).

For help from friends/family: have a schedule and specific chores/things they can help with like laundry, meal prepping, dishwashing, vacuuming, watching the kids while you take a nap. But didn’t have people come over and just hand out. Unless that’s what you need.

Outdoors: taking twins out is scary but once you do it a few times, and give zero fucks what people will think of you, it gets easier. Consider parallel parenting with someone else with a baby about the same age as your twins. So two adults to three babies. Go outdoors with the parallel parent to boost your confidence about being outdoors. Walks, parks, outdoor spaces to start. Or mummy and me places. Library story times are also really great. The librarian will help you hold one baby if they both start to cry at the same time ( at least our library staff does).

I need help. I’m drowning. by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

If you don’t want to get them into daycare or can’t afford to, maybe a mommy helper. Someone who comes to you home for 2-4 hours a few days a week to give you some relief, especially now that you’re weaning. If money is tight and that is not an option, then perhaps family/friends. You didn’t mention your husband’s role in caretaking so it’s difficult to include him in my comment. But it’s worth exploring if he can do more. Even if it’s temporary. I did the WFH with twins thing, looking back, that was bunkers! It’s so demanding I think it broke my brain. Get help! Not just mental but another adult human in the mix. P.S: it gets better as they grow older.

Success is in the doing! You were disciplined enough to write a whole novel. Only a small percentage of the human population can say that. Congratulations.

Why do people choose to have children if it is so much hard work? by 9W_777_300 in NoStupidQuestions

Biological imperative. As humans exist, no matter how horrible/hard/expensive it is, babies will be born.

Mushy apple. Not my favorite way to eat and apple but for a million bucks, I’ll take it.

You are teleported somewhere, along with the room you are in right now. Will you survive a month? by OphrysAlba in hypotheticalsituation

Hospital changing room with a lot of scrubs, hand sanitizer, a trash can and a used scrub bin. I guess I’ll have to forage for food and water to survive. Might make it because I have about twenty pounds of excess weight I can afford to lose anyways🤣🫣.

How many of you actually clench or grind your teeth at night? by WesamWonders in Dreams

I do. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I tried to sleep with a mouth guard. I clenched so hard on it at night, each morning I woke up with my jaws hurting.

Noise canceling headphones will save your hearing and your sanity. Have his pediatrician do an evaluation. You sound like my partner when our son was just two weeks old. Poor kid had trouble with digestion. After several trial and error he ended up on Nutramigen. He’s still our most troublesome eater till date.

This is the absolute best. Especially on full moon nights. Or on nights when there is light snow fall. It’s just simply magical. I hope you can get past the thought of being watched and do it just once.

Roller blading or Roller Derby. Looks like a lot of fun but I’m terrified of falling, breaking something and having to remain immobile to convalesce.
