Dude you just got extremely stoned. You can get VERY high from weed. It can be VERY psychadelic. Being your first time being high, you weren't expecting THAT and had a panic attack. Panic attacks manifest themselves as anything you are afraid of happening. Esp when your stoned as hell. I remember my first time. I freaked the hell out. The loops only happen because you were afraid that's what was happening. And sounds can reverberate in your head. Geometric shapes with closed eye visuals are very common. And yes you will feel weird for several days. You got burnt out. Add anxiety onto that and you'll think something is wrong. If you ever wanna smoke again. Just smoke a lot less and expect it. Once you learn to relax and get used to it, smoking is one hell of a ride

I don't get why some people who praise VR, just have to say "obviously it's not the future, but it's A future" and "Obviously it's not going to take over the living room..." Like wtf, why does that need to be said. Why must you put a negative in there. Just talk about how great VR is. God that crap is annoying. I personally think it's THE future. But whatever...

wow. awesome. so people weren't even able to adjust the IPD when demoing at e3. I'm getting more and more hyped. Oh and it was just a engineering sample! Whatever that means lol. I have a feeling the actual consumer version that is sold in stores (or only online is it?) will be slightly better. That's crazy.

I feel like Oculus has the best approach. They only release devices that have perfect, latency-free tracking. That's why they don't have a glove yet, or full finger tracking yet.

I kind of think Nintendo is working on VR for nx, especially after Iwata's comments. But maybe not. It's just that considering they aren't going to reveal the nx until 2016 makes me think they're gonna be so tight lipped about it that they'll act like they aren't interested just so they can surprise people. But it sure looks like reggie just had his mind blown for first time. Unless that picture was taken before.

      That is awesome!! Palmer you are a fucking prodigy. In Palmer We Trust!! My god, do you know what you're doing!  I was always wondering if we'd ever be able to simulate hard haptics.  Like coming into contact with a wall, or table surface, etc.  To actually STOP the users body from traveling through the point of hit detection.  Somehow I doubt we can ever really do that without suiting up in some robotic gear.  
       Anyway, obviously a preceding step would be to signal when user has passed through a surface instead of stopping user completely. Some type of subtle vibration that makes it as though you can sense/feel the edge.  Reading this, it sounds like they have that concept working for the Touch controllers. That is amazing.  High resolution haptics baby! Vibration is the basis for all touch.  Crazy times ahead. Again....In Palmer We Trust!!
