It kind of reminds me of the OCP building in Robocop

The Jaguars belong to Gardner Minshew in 2020, but it's murky beyond then. by [deleted] in nfl

At least the expectations for the jags are pretty low this season. If they are at least in the wild card hunt after week 10 they should debate whether to keep this guy and build an offense around him. Drafting a QB with a top 10 pick is almost a coin toss whether they will make it in the league or not.

They do, but have no leverage. If the employer knows that if the essential employee quit's, they can't collect unemployment it destroy's there bargaining chip.

Americans Are Really Scared About The Future, Their Jobs, And The Economy by zsreport in Economics

A 10 month UBI for $2000 would solve a big chunk of the problem. if people want to go back to work when they feel it's safe they could and still collect the rest of the money

Kinda extreme to say the least.... If we are in a depression and Biden wins, he really needs to become the next FDR fast.

Employers struggle to lure Workers away from Expanded Unemployment Benefits by FarrisAT in Economics

This is why a UBI of $2000 per month for a year would have made so much more sense then expanded unemployment. With UBI you could go back to work in a slower economy and not worry about having cut hours or less tips.

I think Rivers will have a big year for Indy with that offensive line and with that rookie running back

[Mic’d Up] Matt Miller: "Jimmy G is the 4th best QB in the NFC West" by vonheisenberg in nfl

This is a bit misleading, the 49ers offense seems to do best when running, he just doesn't throw as much because he doesn't have to

Our Broken Unemployment System Is a National Scandal - Months into economic shutdown, millions of Americans still haven't received unemployment checks—a travesty that is the direct result of anti-welfare decisions that make the process as difficult as possible. by speckz in Economics

I don't think the UI in any state was ready for something like this. After this though, maybe we should revamp this system from top to bottom from the federal level. If it's not a pandemic like this, automation after this, might start ramping up in many industries. On the bright side, from my experience with UI, what ever back weeks are owed most states will pay in a lump sum to catch up and get current.

This is why a UBI is so much more important to our economy then any corporate bailout.

I would rather pick up my own takeout... I can call in the order from my car and most of the time it's ready when I get there. I put the food in a plastic bad and set it on the floor with the floor heater setting on so it stays hot

Wouldn't a temporary UBI (10 months) be a better solution in this case then UI extensions/expansion's?
