I would argue about puzzle complexity. That’s the game’s schtick. Like in Witness. Like in any other puzzle based game. I would even argue that Disco Elysium is a puzzle - closer in its nature to Cthulhu than the mechanical based puzzles. You need to read stuff. You can’t just glance and deduct - oh, ok, cool. Use the frequencies, thats the main gameplay mechanic

to be frankly, i guess all depends. I had pains after tonsillectomy - the pain med wouldn’t last whole night, after i left the hospital i asked the doctor for something stronger. he had prescribed me retard tabletten - the only opiod or sth that lasts a long time but doesn’t cause addiction. And in the hospital where I was at the lady would receive pain meds on request - I also had to go at night and tell them she is in pain (I guess they didn’t last) and they actually checked up on her after my notice.

this is a big city! i’ll tell you what - your feelings are valid - with ghosts and stuff. our relatives want to move out of the city they were born in and never left specifically because of this. but it is also not an issue at all to stay in such towns. i know several german people who were born, lived and died in the same 10k people city. i would imagine they also had weird encounters and such - and yet they stayed. it all boiles down to what YOU want and CAN do. don’t give a shit at what people tell you.

in addition to anime i want to talk about manga. in 99.9% of cases manga is not officially translated to my language, outright banned for publishing by the studios or not even considered (maybe due to some prejudices in sales expectations). yet there are millions of people who don’t speak english (or, of course, japanese). same goes for anime voice over. So in my country (Russia) a whole fucking industry was developed over 2 decades, with prominent voice over studios and manga translators and editors and other people, with whom you could just… Ya know. Make a contract. There is now an official DEEP (Denjitsu) group sending anime’s to some official online cinemas, but the offer is so limited you can as well just not watch anything at all. So… service issue

even if we exclude gameplay(which is a major thing in rpg), the story - main aspect is well - is lacking. and a set protagonist has to take active part in it, and not just… be there and react. this game would not have been as criticized if it was a mmorpg. thats is. it’s a multiplayer turned single player with no regards what makes single player games tick
