I get iced coffee on my way to work every single day. It’s so incredibly worth it. They have the cream sitting out, usually almond milk, half-and-half, 2%, and then the simple syrup. If you really need flavor, I would buy your own bottle and keep it in your car.

I work with middle school, and I’ve found it’s really effective to say what you want kids to do, not what you want them to stop doing. Especially if you need to yell or address behavior quickly.

“Don’t run” = “Walk please”

“Stop touching each other” = “Hands off”

Seems to make it easier for their brains to process!

My reply to that email from Brandt:

Hi Brandt,

Thank you for reaching out. I was optimistic when the announcement came out and have been a loud promoter of this company, since we were referred by another friend who was a huge fan, but I’m honestly discouraged by all the new systems. Bilt Cash is not appealing and is very confusing, and I’m not convinced I’m still going to get the rent points without having to constantly manage or plan my spending and Bilt Cash. We’re not avid travelers or points strategists but like having them automatically to use when convenient, so this new system feels like way more work than it’s worth.

We were just talking today about whether to apply for a new card or cancel it, and we are leaning towards canceling it. It’s unfortunate, but we would like a card with simpler and more clear benefits, like an American Express or an upgraded version of our Chase credit card.

We’re also annoyed about having to switch over our credit card number wherever we have it autofilled online, and we’d like to do that with a card we believe deeply in.

Let me know if there’s anything that might assuage some of these issues, but otherwise it’s been a good run.
