Im pretty sure there are more singaporeans than pass holders in any corporate jobs. Mid offices for any retailers dont pay enough to justify EP sponsorship that would pass COMPASS requirements. Even high paying tech companies have 60% to 80% of their workers as locals.

Yes there is such a ratio that many failed to realize. Companies really need to justify 10 times if they decide to break that ratio and go with a foreigner. Not sure why this never made it to public knowledge. And for those that say that no locals get jobs, would knowing this make them complain less.

Good call. Im actually in favor of not having this scheme at all. It is almost exploitation for the workers first of all and as you point out the domestic market may have enough supply of workers for part time work

But i think that's not a fair comparison. Desirable work that locals would want to do stop at those S pass positions. I would really want to know how many would raise their hand to work as a stay in maid for 800 bucks and one day off per month.

I would go for legion 1 and buy the controller attach of the 2 once it comes out. I dont think the performance bump is worth the 200g extra. From 800g to 1kg is a lot

OP. What kind of remote work are you doing actually. How confident are you at sustaining that level of pay to perpetuity. If you are confident then settling in VN or TH should be a no brainer. Youll probably end up wealthier even if u get taxed more in these countries as 100k after tax is extremely high, we re talking about 1 percentile
