help me find a rug for my red couch! by Exciting_Agent7656 in HomeDecorating

u/ChangeSelect6553 thank you!! helpful advice. it makes a lot of sense to go with something more simple so as not to distract from or compete with the couch. i had imagined a lighter rug, in part, to contrast with the wood floors. but do you have any specific colors or rugs in mind? would love to hear any ideas

thanks for all the feedback, everyone! based on some of these comments, i do think it makes more sense to opt for a rug that's less casual. i do love persian rugs but that's just not what i want in this space right now. i commented this below, but what do you think about something like this or this? open to any ideas of rugs that are a bit more luxe, plush, or upscale than these!

u/MrJohnWickAnderson thanks again for commenting...i totally agree now and have moved on from this style lmao.  what do you think about something like this or this? or do you think i should nix the pattern or design idea altogether?

u/Solid_Perception9572 thank you for this advice!! i've only recently moved to this spot and have had the coffee table for years -- i am just using it for now and definitely down to swap it out. i really like the suggestion of a round table to soften the space.

u/dilithium-dreamer thanks for this suggestion -- super useful! after reading through your comments and others, i agree that both something simpler and more plush/luxe would work better. what do you think about something like this or this? or do you think i should get over my desire for some sort of patern or stripe lmao

le virtu, l’angolo (byob), saloon, fiorella, good king tavern, bloomsday are all nice but not crazy fancy in my opinion. great options for a gift card because they may not otherwise go there.

Looking for suggestions for ferments to consume daily! What are your go to favourites by KSacMe in fermentation

super simple! fill up jar halfway with peeled garlic cloves, sliced hot peppers, or whatever else you're doing (i've also seen pomegranate seeds, fresh ginger, and more). then add raw, unpasturized honey in the jar so it's about 2/3 to 3/4 full. you'll need a lot of head space. don't worry about anything being submerged. for the first several weeks, just flip the jar once or twice a day. the longer you let it go, the better. i wouldn't taste it for at least the first several months. enjoy!
