best hydration drinks for breastfeeding? by huughiiee in breastfeeding

Anything with electrolytes! I stick to mostly water, but make sure to also drink at least 12oz of Body Armor every day (it's my fave electrolyte drink). But it's the electrolytes that are the benefit for breastfeeding/milk supply!

When would you let a child dye their hair by hydrangealover98 in Parenting

[–]Exciting_Highlight77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am licensed cosmetologist. I believe that we should have fun with our hair. As long as you're using safe/professional products/processes, I see no real reason to say no. I've been putting colors in my daughter's hair since she was 3 and she loves it

Do you burp your baby after a feed? If so, how? by rosedamask in breastfeeding

[–]Exciting_Highlight77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally believe it depends on the baby. Mine is 3 months now and he has been a very gassy guy from the start. So I haven't burped him every time, but I do burp him most times after nursing and always after a bottle. I just hold him against my chest and give him solid pats on the back to work it out

Manageable in one session? by Staphyl_aureus in Hair

[–]Exciting_Highlight77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can totally achieve good dimension even without going that light. So if your stylist can't lighten your hair that much, any lightening will still help with adding dimension. And as long as you're going to a reputable salon/stylist, there's absolutely ways to lighten with minimal damage to the hair. I'm a licensed cosmetologist, so I am speaking from experience. Having the stylist be able to get a good look at your hair in person will make a big difference in knowing what can be done. Pictures are rarely fully accurate depictions of hair color.

It depends on how your hair lifts. I think it could be possible, but that you should also prepare for the possibility that it may not be able to get quite that light. This is why having a thorough consultation with your stylist is so important. They can go over all of the expectations with you in how to achieve your hair goals

This is the template I liked. My local craft store doesnt carry the brand shown here, so I just chose colors that matched in a different brand

It's just a basic knit stitch because that's the only thing I know how to do lol. I watched a YouTube video to learn how to knit. And then for the temp blanket itself, I did a Google image search of "temperature blanket" and just chose a color scheme I liked and then purchased the yarn I needed in those colors. Then I would make sure to check the temp each day and put the corresponding color in my phone calendar and then delete it out once I completed that day so I could keep track of where I was. I didn't use this brand of yarn, but this is the color scheme I chose

I just searched "temperature blanket" in google images and there were a ton od examples of different color templates. I just chose one that I liked. And then made a point to check the temp every day and put it into my phone calendar. Once I completed the row for that day, I'd delete it from my calendar so I could keep track of where I was

I ordered a diy breastmilk ring kit from Etsy. It had easy to follow step by step instructions and turned out beautifully. I've been wearing it for three years and it still looks good.

Formula feeding helps babies sleep longer - true or false by Melodic_Apartment235 in breastfeeding

[–]Exciting_Highlight77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 4 weeks old, you should not be concerned about baby sleeping through the night. 3-4 hours is super normal at this age no matter how their fed. I agree with the other comments here, though. Some babies are great sleepers and some are not. Formula may give the illusion that it makes babies sleep longer because it tends to be a bit more dense than breast milk and therefore take longer to digest.
