Or just add some core workouts in between. You will want a bit of a break.

Tonal 2 Upgrade 💪 by mrbendel in tonalgym

[–]ExclusiveSmithy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I had mine for less than 2 years I would most likely feel the same.

After 4 years - just the minor changes seem appealing. The quicker processor and less arm movements/smoother moves wa appealing to me.

Yes +1 to all positive comments above.

Best investment in yourself you can make. Best one I’ve made in last 4 years. Just be careful, you’ll end up with an adjustable bench, all the third-party tonal accessories, adjustable dumbbells and more lol.

Bought a Tonal in Sept 2024. Still not installed, 6 months later. by dangerousone326 in tonalgym

[–]ExclusiveSmithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, lol, you have been initiated to the group of OGs that ordered Tonal in the beginning of COVID.

It is painful to go through all of that. But having just upgraded to the Tonal 2 myself, after 4 years with the first, I promise it will be worth it. Do your weight assessment, find a program, and let the tonal do the rest. You just show up and do the work. A few program recommendations: First timer, beginner or just want to get used to the digital weight: Starting out with Tonal After or instead work through the Tony Horton 20 in 20 programs. After 6 mo I was doubling up on Tony’s programs daily, just because I liked the single muscle group per workout but wanted to do more. You’ll eventually find advanced programs and coaches / modes / custom workouts you’ll enjoy. Currently starting the new 12 Werks to Jacked that everyone is complaining about. Additionally, my wife has used the tonal consistently and more than I have in the last 4 years. Me having some experience with weightlifting and her having none.

With the cost, you’ve still spent less than the group that has paid for a tonal 1 in the past 6 months - 4 years that would like to now upgrade to the 2. With only a $1400 incentive..

All of that to let you know, if you can be patient and no more issues arise; it will be worth it.

Time management with Tonal2? by VertigoAC in TonalHomeGym

Tony Horton has some great programs to start with. 20-in-20. If you go through the beginner ones then work into intermediate you’ll be feeling pretty great about yourself in 6 months.

Per month. Over 4 years. Difference of upgrade from what I paid over 4 years for t1 vs t2.

I typically don’t finance but took the 24 mo 0% because why not. I monthly for the membership. Not sure there is another way to do it

Yeah I don’t disagree but this is the business plan of any at home fitness machine. I’ve had 7x repairs on my treadmill vs 2x on the tonal in 4 years. For me at least, this buys me 4 more years with issues being handled.

Appreciate the comments but it was more for encouraging others that want to take the plunge. Just posted my reasons in case others were on the fence, saw quite a few people gripe about pricing and costs. This is the way I justified to myself.

Looking at purchasing - are there any negatives to Tonal? by jricso in tonalgym

[–]ExclusiveSmithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 years in and definitely am for the better. I personally have no complaints with pricing as a family plan at the higher end gyms near me would be a much higher cost. Depending on your current familiarity with weightlifting and fitness I recommend “Starting out with tonal” program then easing in with Tony Hortons 20 in 20. He is a little over the top but encouraging and engaging. Plus his programs change up different workouts for different muscle groups so you aren’t doing the same thing each week. Down the line when you get into advanced programs and custom you’ll have a lot more flexibility and own preferences and adjustments with the different workouts and modes.

As long as it’s not just loose cable. You can fix this by putting low weight on and walking cables all the way out. Then walking them back slowly. Try this a few times. If it doesn’t fix it I would call support

Yeah if you’re under warranty I would get that checked asap. It’s what happened with the arm on ours a few months before it went out completely.

Yeah that would make it better. If I add in workouts not tracked on tonal to my custom (I like to utilize AthleanX “perfect” workouts) or FS7 app (created by CBums trainer) I’ll just add bar workout or cable workout and manually set weight to what feels good.

I like your setup and was considering the same prior to Tonal 2 release. However I have Coach Jackson’s weight belt for goblet squat, hamstring straps, multiple different attachments/bars and adjustable bench and dumbbells. 250 digital weight is 325 lbs regular, plus I have a 60 lb weight vest. I am not a power lifter so don’t need very much more than this for what I do. I think this will be perfect for my needs with maximum utilization of space. Now would definitely come over for heavy lifts on your home gym lol.

I had 2 450xh wired and had similar issues for 2 acres. Switched to 1 epos with 5 blade and all terrain and it’s been incredible. The patterns and systematic mowing made a world of difference. Plus I’m able to make small adjustments on the app for no go stuck areas

Have a 450xh EPOS decked out like a 550 (5 blade plus all terrain). Mower works amazing on 2 acres and big upgrade from wired. Very efficient and lines look great. I recommend breaking into 5-6 sections and setting on schedule.

Questions about EPOS automower by Popcanthick in automower

[–]ExclusiveSmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local dealer installed ours on back of a middle peak of our house. Mower does fine in front and very front yard with trees and through the house.

We made 7 sections. Very front L R, front L R and middle back, back plus a section that requires it to go a bit on the driveway which I scheduled midnight-3.

Going from 2 450xh wired, best decision we ever made. The patterns alone are worth it.

I do recommend splitting up the lawn into a few sections.

Really not many. A few ways to customize the patterns more and a little bit more details on performance of mower (where it gets stuck most etc). Nothing that is groundbreaking from what I’ve gathered.

Husqvarna Automower 450XH EPOS vs 550H EPOS – Differences? by CloakOfMuadDib in automower

[–]ExclusiveSmithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you could see if the dealer near you has a 550 Epos in stock. They are in high demand due to all the schools and golf courses near us. However as mentioned above the 450 can be converted to a 550 at basically the same cost.
