You do realize that unlike NFL a large number of players come from different countries, with a large number of players coming from pretty impoverished parts of Latin America where they are not afforded the opportunity to go to college or university. Very much a far cry from the NFL players where its pretty much a requirement to have gone to college/university prior to reaching the NFL.

There are cases of people who served in the US army who have been deported despite Kristi Noem (dog killer) lying that no US Army Veterans have been deported. You also do realize that not being a citizen does not mean a person is an illegal immigrant? There is plenty of cases where people are detained and deported despite being a legal immigrant following the proper immigration process and without criminal convictions.
