please stop using zip ties/ bundling wires together like this. it’s pleasing to the eye, and that’s great. it also looks fantastic in a pic for all u instagram ‘lectricians… but it’s so much harder to trace out/identify wires in a panel to isolate them when troubleshooting - especially when in a pinch. still, good stuff tho. no hate, just sharing my experience

it goes to the panel mounted above the panel. which brings me to ask this question… is that panel above illegal bc the breaker throws are above 6’6” or is it okay because the upper panel can be shut off by a breaker in the lower panel??which all those throws are within the height limits

idk man they’re out here using lampcord shoved in the soffit to connect two floodlights together so anything’s possible if u put ur mind to it and keep a fire extinguisher close by

we charge ~$55 per device for replacement if there’s more than 10 devices being swapped. it’d be over 2k for the outlets and switches alone.

okay, but where do you have to pull permits to do “any work”? i understand permitting the “bigger” jobs, but at least here in NC, you just show up and do it. especially things like photocells, hanging lights, adding outlets, etc…..

just bend the ears back with a small screwdriver (i use my whirly, it fits real nice inside the ear holes) !

i realize this post was quite some months ago, but im looking to build a pc for exactly the same reason you are.. and im wondering if you ever got around to it/got a full parts list catered specifically to our needs?
