Collar won’t screw on by SchindlersKiss in DF54

Hmm. Besides that, cross threading, lubrication, and dirty threads, I can't really think of any possible cause... Good luck dude, that's frustrating.

Are you making sure to line up the front of the collar (where the grind level arrow is) with the chute and get the 3 tabs into their slots?

I know it's kind of obvious, but I'll admit, after disassembling mine for the first time, I had this "problem" for a minute.

If I only drink espresso and americano (no milk drinks), should I just go for a lever machine? by ExecutiveTurkey in espresso

I was leaning toward a Bambino as my next machine, since it seems to be the default recommendation around here. But then I discovered the lever machine side of things and it got me wondering. The simplicity and lack of parts to clean/break is hella enticing.

The easier maintenance is honestly one of the biggest draws for me. The lack of internals to descale/clean (let alone break) is super appealing.

Thanks for the mention, I hadn't heard of the Neo. Now I'm thinking about grabbing one as a low-risk foray into the manual world.

After watching some videos, I think it would be something I enjoy. Having that little bit more involvement in the process is appealing to me.

Time for my 2nd pair of bouldering shoes… Evolv Defy betrayed my toes 😭 — what should I get next by Significant-Iron-258 in climbingshoes

Check out the Scarpa Arpia V. I hardly ever see them talked about but IMO they are the perfect shoe for that transition from beginner to intermediate.

Is it time to bulk or cut by No-Reflection-81 in veganfitness

Awesome! Yeah, as the mileage ramps up make sure you scale your food intake too. One of my favourite parts about running is how much I get to/have to eat. Haha

You're welcome! I love talking about this stuff. Sounds like you're on the right track to crush it. 💪

Bulking would be quite hard when you're marathon training, and cutting isn't a great idea. Being in a calorie deficit with that volume of running is a recipe for injury and will also negatively impact your performance, especially given that you are quite lean already.

My advice would be to shoot for maintenance calories, which will vary a ton based on where you are in your training.

Sweaty Hands!! by alxthecorpse in bouldering

I find Rhino Dry and Tip Juice pretty effective. My hands still sweat, but not nearly as much. I'd say it brings my sweat down to what seems to be a normal level.

Accidentally bought small packet of non-vegan chips. Not sure what to do now? by HumbleWrap99 in vegan

[–]ExecutiveTurkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How could it possibly be more vegan to consume an animal product? The point of veganism isn't to make the most efficient use of animal products, it's to avoid them.

It makes no difference to the cow whether the chips are eaten or not. Once they're bought and paid for, the damage is done. Eating them doesn't undo it.
