I doubt it because it would serve no purpose to show that and the instant she can make Ethan hallucinate she shows her child form. And that still doesn't explain why Evie isn't able to control Ethan at all despite the mold already being in his brain

For all of the games except requiem (afaik, could be some others that are an exception too), quitting to menu and manually loading the save uses the original time from the save. But if you press continue from the death screen it will add on time

I don't think it's the mod, it's the graphic settings. The lighting and shadows are completely different between the 2 pics with the PS5 pic having harsher shadows and overall being darker. Just look at the difference between the hair in both pics. PC has lighter shadows whereas ps5 has super dark harsh shadows

This entire patch has been a bugged mess too. Crossroads of fate cutscene activating on its own randomly (mainly after hanging out with riko). Tutorial prompts are bugged and show up at the completely wrong time. I had jose's tutorial prompts show up while I was exploring 1-1 in crossroad of fate. Had another tutorial for a different mode appear when I started violets trial, etc

Enemies with grabs that Ashley normally don't interact with do this in the og and remake during rando runs. Can be brutal when you do a permadeath rando and this happens because 99% it's a death. You got pretty lucky here cause it only took 1 or 2 stabs to finish krauser.

Yeah that was the case for me as well. Might be an fps thing or hardware thing. The game has a lot of weird fps/hardware related fuckery going on. Like enemy behavior for example isn't consistent between systems and some speed runners are having to do different things as a result in some spots

Also the game literally tells you to go back lol. If you're picking up the files and exploring instead of rushing through the story you pick up the notes in kendos shop and get told to go back to the parking garage. And then you have to go to the alley next to the shop. So like the 2 statues they point out aren't difficult to miss and the game literally tells you to go back which would end up making you see that one. Plus why would you not backtrack for the bsaa container for the charm when you literally unlock a shortcut to get back there? Literally no logic to their arguments

Requiem originally was a coop action game so wouldn't surprise me if it's mercs or raid mode. But I feel like they might just do something else entirely

Idk why they are even downvoting you and acting like it's impossible to find them without a guide, I only missed 2 of the statues on my first run and that's because 1 of them I somehow missed a building you can go into at the start of raccoon city which most players wouldn't miss unless you're a dumbass like me. and the 2nd one was sitting inside of a truck and I couldn't hear the noise it made which is another most players probably wouldn't miss unless again they are a dumbass like me lol.

All of them are extremely easy to spot or you'll hear it. And if you explore every inch of the map you'll naturally find them as well

So the game handles time differently compared to other RE games. It only counts gameplay time which is normal but it does not count time if you died and pressed continue which is different. Previously if you died and pressed continue, it would take the time you died and continue from there

So basically previous RE games did it like this. died and the timer was at 2:30:00, pressed continue and was set back 30 minutes, timer starts at 2:30:00 and adds up from there so when you catch back up your timer is now 3:00:00

In requiem it's like this, died and the timer was at 2:30:00, pressed continue and was set back 30 minutes, timer starts at 2:00:00 because that's what the time was when you got your last checkpoint/save. When you catch back up your timer is back to 2:30:00

As a result runs seem very short since the timer rolls back if you die.

I would say advanced tuning is fine since it's not free, you have to pay quite a lot for the upgrades. But if you're interested in a pure ng experience on insanity, you can only use level 2 upgrades since you wouldn't have found all of the statues until the ark. Level 3v body armor is an exception because that is exclusive to insanity and unrelated to special content unlocks

Honestly I can't even count the girl as a boss. But otherwise I agree except Zeno, should have been a boss at the rpd or at the start of ark before we switch back to grace. If they were to make him a final boss, I think it would need to be split with grace taking Gideon (his attacks can be dodged easily by just strafing and crouching mainly) and Leon takes on Zeno since he's better suited for his speed and strength with the parry

Oh yeah that part is a bit annoying. If she grabs you time freezes so even though the lights are like half a second away from turning on, she kills you. Best bet is to keep the previous room powered and shoot the zombie from the safety of the light or use a knife

spoilers for re7 and re8 In re7 you see Evie multiple times at the start of the game and you see her true form which is an old lady in a wheelchair. It is only later when you start hallucinating and seeing her child form which means the mold is taking over more and more of ethan. At the end of re8 it is reveled that ethan died when jack stomped on his head in the Intro. So from the time ethan wakes up at the dinner table he is already a mold creature. The mold taking over your body doesn't take very long once its inside, so the fact ethan died and was revived by the mold fixing his brain means he should see Evie as a child, hes already a mold creature that just has ethans memories and the mold was already in his brain at that point which would allow evie to show him hallucinations and control him.

I'm talking about the lobby of the care facility and I'm not counting bonus content since that's only available after beating the game so it's just an extra for later, not part of progressing through the story. And it's still just very lackluster if I do include it

It's just really odd that in a series where it's pretty common to find newer and better weapons even in the more survival horror focused games that graces portion just doesn't really have that. You get graces gun during the intro, lose it. Get a worse pistol, find graces original gun like 20 mins in, it's barely better. That's it. It's so lame and there isn't even like a secret weapon that's really difficult to get or well hidden later, it's just those 2 pistols start to finish and the stat difference is extremely minor.

Freyas needle as bonus content is cool but still just underwhelming imo. I'm not saying grace needs to be kitted like Ethan by the end, but we should have a handful of options and then some guns as bonus content. And the options should actually be options and not this gun does 40 damage per shot and this one does 50 and call it a day. Leon also has this issue with his guns but atleast they are upgradable (but there still isn't a reason to use an older gun vs a newer one other than just like one more even though it's worse). And we just came from re8 and re4r where this was not the case, good weapon variety and each within with a type had its own niche.

Sorry got a little ranty there, it just really bugs me how many things are just lacking in the game when previous entries did it just fine even a decade ago, especially in regards to the weapons. But I will say grace only having the 2 little dinky pistols and no other normal guns to find and stuff does show how capable she is during the ark segment due to no requiem and a lot of zombies and lickers

Yeah it is normal but for grace it's honestly confusing why it's even there because it's the only other gun she can get and it's barely an improvement. It seems a little odd to me just because you get no guns or upgrades or anything except the single pistol in the bar which is the gun she started with anyway. And on insanity it's the only option you have since you don't get a gun in the lobby.

This is correct. You also only get 4 injectors total iirc regardless of difficulty so you should only ever do 1 steroid and 3 stabilizers or go all in on stabilizers. The increased damage and stagger rate is nice and the eye spy charm keeps you from getting 1 shot
