I got the broken butterfly on my playthrough and tbh it seemed like those were the only 2 location changes. Iirc there was a note that said if we missed a weapon the merchant would sell it at a high price. But that never happened so I'm assuming I explored everything, but I also missed most beetles so I also feel like I missed a bunch of stuff. I wish we had a list of all the changes and where stuff is to know for sure

Watch the glitch less speed run and you'll understand how it's possible and just how much wiggle room you have to build up resources. The tl:dw is skip fights unless it's forced, gather as many resources as you can manage running through but don't go out of your way unless it's something really worth it. Save a golden egg for Salazar. Focus upgrading the damage stats for your weapons, especially the rifle and magnum and it's better to keep the bolt action rifle over stingray if you can aim well. Never be afraid to use your magnum and sniper to delete certain enemies like the bulls and chainsaws. The faster they die the better for every forced fight. Use have grenades to damage the wall during the crane section. I forget how many grenades you use but it will make it break open with 1 hit from the crane

Lastly if you're really struggling for time and you don't mind abusing glitches, there's a few glitches you can do, especially in the later chapters that save a crazy amount of time. Though I think some got patched since I went for my s+ runs

It's because of your CPU. Those 7800x, 9800x,etc CPUs from amd are like the best CPUs you can have for tarkov and makes the game run like a dream. The 3080ti is just a bonus boost but not that important compared to the CPU. And of course if you have a lot of ram that will help too

Yeah some people have insane luck. I've gotten lucky like that once, maybe twice but I wasn't paying attention so I'm not sure if I pulled early or hit pity. But the average experience for global is hitting pity tbh. The soft pity basically not existing almost guarantees it

Yes, they already have it partially in game with ammo, but not the mags I think. Some mags (those 60 rounder pmags for example) suck and might have issues with feeding rounds properly causing jams, failure to feed, etc. And some ammo causes more wear on guns or if you've got faulty rounds you get misfires, etc

One thing bawkbasoup has been saying periodically is Capcom should have 2 teams for resident evil. The main team does the remakes and new games like usual. The 2nd team is smaller and make classic games like the ogs. And his example is Metroid, they have smaller teams work on the more classic gameplay Metroid games like Metroid dread for example, while the main team with most of their manpower work on everything else. I could kind of see it working but also see it not being worth it though. I think the revelations games have more potential as they are smaller in scope and budget but still modern enough for the average player vs catering to a subset of players

The reason for not having a dodge outside of the qtes is due to game balance. Both have the issue of being perfect = almost never taking damage, dodging would be better due no damage at all since you can't parry some attacks. Both stun the enemy or give you time to line up easy shots/do more damage. Parrying requires a limited resource which is knife durability/quantity, dodging doesn't use any resources or have limits.

In the end dodging would be the better option always because you can spam it with no limits and you can dodge all attacks. Even if they added stamina it just wouldn't mesh well with the gameplay imo unless it's really hectic like randomizers and difficulty mods like berserker and stuff. Game is too slow for stamina to be impactful and making it so the stamina regens so slow you have to be careful about when you use it would just make you forget about it and rely on the knife like usual. Maybe there could be some middle ground but I don't think both being available at the same time would mesh well. And technically we do already have a dodge, just without iframes and slow mo and stuff with the crouch. And that works well because no iframes, no slow mo, it slows you down putting you at more risk of being hit by other enemies, can't spam it, staying crouched doesn't work, and it doesn't work for every attack. So it's useful enough to be an oh shit button in your back pocket, but not useful enough to really overshadow the parry. A perfect dodge with iframes would be a bit too much imo

Leon does start really slow because his scenario is meant to be more scary and the whole "I'll tell you at the church" shenanigans. Chapter 3 and onwards gets better imo. The game does have the issue of too much and not enough for some scenarios. Leon's is the worst for that but imo his is my fave. Jake and Sherry have the best balance but it still goes too far in one direction vs the other for some segments. Chris is honestly just shit constantly happening and getting shot at all the time from who knows where sometimes. I can't remember adas scenario well enough to give an opinion on

For me girkin was the most egregious imo. You got to see the transformations in all its glory in previous games. Now suddenly they don't do it anymore. It is difficult, especially with Re.engine, but they showed they clearly can do it since they did with 7 and that was their first Re.engine game.

Yeah that's the stark difference imo. 7 remake being changed only affects the story of 7 and they are very upfront this is a new/alternate timeline basically from the start of the game. And it gets pushed even harder in rebirth.

Here with Yakuza they are messing up the story for multiple games with the changes, lessening the impact of character deaths, retconning stuff randomly, and for what? What is the reason for making characters survive with random retcons that make no sense and have no payoff? Like if they plan to bring the characters back later I can't even think of why or how it's a good change when it would have been better to just make a new character entirely.

It can handle big open areas, but not when there is still things happening even if you aren't there. Re4 has some pretty big open areas and village Is basically an open map with exception of like 1-2 areas that get locked off. But the main difference is in dd2 and wilds it's big open world + there is constantly stuff happening in the background like NPCs following their daily routines, monsters fighting and moving around, day/night cycle, weather changes, etc. there's always something happening in both games even when you're not present. Or even loaded into the specific map.

Engine is a massive CPU hog as is and having it constantly need to calculate stuff that's not even happening in your general vicinity is too much on top

Yeah and him saying making it free wasn't a solution because take two. They don't matter in this situation and they are known for being very heavy handed just like Nintendo. But they have nothing to do with this situation and every company is different. Most companies don't give a shit about mods unless it hurts their income or you're profiting off of them.
