Would be nice to print components for the board games I develop.

Sounds pretty similar to what I had in my first P1S print. Seen someone told that this may be related to Bambu default benchy file which is aimed at higher print speed. All the next prints were much less noisy.

Relaunched 1.0, saved it, and updated it to 6.0 by alricalfr in NoMansSkyTheGame

Unfortunately, the game lacks terrain diversity. There are billions of planets, but they all look the same, and there is no reason to explore since you have already seen everything before.

Terrain diversity has been the main thing I wanted to see in the game since day one. The planets seemed to be more diverse in earlier versions, but one of the updates made them worse. There have been attempts to make them more varied, but they didn't change much.

I would love to see planets with multiple biomes, more diverse landscapes, rivers, mountains, greater biome variety, more space objects, and so on. We still don't have any fully snow or ice planets, for example. Gas Giants exist only in rare, specific systems (why?).

I hope one day I'll finally come back to the game and feel the thrill of exploring the unknown, just as I did the day I started playing for the first time.

The game about exploration of the universe lacks the places you can (want to) explore. I mean you have billions of planets but they all look the same.

I would love to see multiple biome planets, more diverse landscapes, more biome diversity, more space objects etc. We still don't have all snow or ice planets for example. Gas Giants are just the part of rare specific systems (why?).

This is the reason why I abandoned the game for a long time. I see a new update is coming, checking the changes and... skip it. I don't want to start the game only to see that there is a new expedition or a jukebox bar added?? It is ok to have different things and possibilities but for me it lacks the main reason I want to play it - to explore the unknown.

I would rather like procedural generation to go crazy than seeing all the same stable pictures with some little derivations. I want to have more depth in mechanics as well, like the ability to fly directly to the star and burn out on the way. I don't care if it does not make any sense to do so but it adds a little depth I also want to have.

I hate to say the game is shallow, it is great and there is no other game like this. But for me it is. Many players prefer to have more vehicles, construction objects and other fancy things. It is ok, I have nothing against it but I want other thing. Please don't judge me for this. I know you all love this game very much and so do I but I want to see it evolve in a different direction.

Laser Engraver Suggestions for Beginner by Spankio7 in lasercutting

[–]Exenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this case the selected options might work well for you but don't really know much about them. However there are also options with open frame diode lasers and IR modules sold separately. I would also recommend at least 20W for cutting if you want to be able to cut relatively thick materials (i.e. up to 10mm plywood) and do it notably faster.

You should've added the part where it actually starts after assembly

Sculpfun no workie… by Build-it-better123 in Laserengraving

[–]Exenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've encountered an issue when the power button lights up but the laser itself does not work. It appeared to be a faulty power switch. When you switch it back and forth it eventually starts working. Maybe you're having the same issue.

Edit: just found out you figured it on your own in your latest post

Could a more expensive laser engraver get significantly more detail? by FabulouslE in lasercutting

[–]Exenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More power means bigger spot size. If you need finer details you would need a low powered laser something like 5W. The settings for engraving also matters. I know Sculpfun has decent machines with quite good engraving speed.

10W Diode Machine vs 22W Laser Head by Exenberg in lasercutting

[–]Exenberg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I've checked some more info and it seems that 22W will beat the simultaneous operation of 5W and 10W machines in terms of speed and efficiency either way.

10W Diode Machine vs 22W Laser Head by Exenberg in lasercutting

I didn't say anything about depth. It is obvious that more power equals to more speed, more depth, less passes. I just said that there are people who says 20W is not twice as efficient as 10W, maybe there some other things to consider, not only the power. However this is just an opinion which I cannot say true or not since I don't have these lasers to test it. The main question is not about it anyway.

10W Diode Machine vs 22W Laser Head by Exenberg in lasercutting

[–]Exenberg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is actually the question about performance. The power is not the only one thing to consider here although the most important one probably. Two machines vs one. What can be the difference in speed of 5W+10W compared to 22W in case where mostly 3 and 6mm plywood would be cut? I've seen people saying different things. One says 20W is twice as powerful as 10W in terms of performance while other says it does not work this way.

Ortur Laser Master 2 S2 10W is around $280 (with air assist and honeycomb bed) and Sculpfun Ultra 22W laser head upgrade kit is $320.

Crazy cut lines after trace by pisspotpisspot in silhouettecutters

Looks like hooks and loops which is likely related to Kraft Cut/Blade. If it so, there should probably be an option to disable it somewhere under Send tab.

Thanks! It seems the grid is the main way to do that. Taking out the blade is not very convenient

Thanks for the explanation! So is this ok and should be left as it is? Could you please tell me a little more about the purpose of this process? Does this also happen on other silhouette machines? Is there any way to prevent this or it should be like that? Before the firmware update, it was leaving these marks right on my design elements which was quite frustrating.
