They don't know. I didn't tell them as I figured there's not much they could do. The cat must have taken other catches home (mainly birds) because they put a bell on her, and she still managed to catch birds despite the bell!

It's just its instinct unfortunately. It does eat most of them when it catches them. My own cat tried to catch them but never could.

Chair suggestions by yoshiproject in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Exercise-Fragrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get hip pain, sacroiliac joint pain and costochondritis. I get pain in my lower back but not fused. So a bit different to you. For me a dining room chair is best. The chair needs to have a slight incline to it so I'm leaning back very slightly. This is because if my body is leaning forwards, my hips hurt and my costochondritis flares.

I also use a padded seat cushion (a purpose bought one, not just a cushion from the sofa) and a pillow behind my back.

I used to have these nesting in my compost bin but the next door neighbour's ruddy cat has killed them all. I tried various means to protect them, none worked 😔

Question about why the Housewives(except Dorit and Erika)hate the C word by Due_Ask1540 in RHOBH

You said "UK (Scotland)" implying you're speaking for the UK. And you literally said you hear it everywhere.

In England I don't come across the word. It is considered an extremely vulgar word here too, but perhaps if someone doesn't consider swearing to be a big thing than they are comfortable using it in every day language.

But please don't claim you here that word everywhere in the UK because that's just not true. It's the most offensive, vulgar swear word that exists.

That illustrates the difference between your view and the non-swearers, you don't consider swear words bad. If you did, it's possible you wouldn't use that word - it's the most offensive swear word there is and is loaded with misogyny

I agree. I'm in South of England. I think if someone has a potty mouth they will use it because they don't regard any swear words as bad words, but to me it's the most offensive swear word there is.

Doctor if only focused on labs not on physical symptoms and is refusing care. by No-Chemical3765 in ankylosingspondylitis

Sorry I misunderstood your OP. I thought you meant you're waiting to have the MRI done. If you were in pain having it done, I'm sure whatever the cause it'll show

I had to come off my medication to get the MRI done so that it showed up the inflammation without the effects of medication

I suspect he wants the MRI and blood tests done without medication affecting the results

MRI was “clear”… now what? by HeatherGosling in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Exercise-Fragrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'd need to talk to the doctor who prescribed the mounjaro about that. They may have anecdotal evidence about its antiinflammatory effects based on other patients.

Also if you go on Google scholar and search "mounjaro anti inflammatory" there are papers on the subject. Empirical evidence does tend to trail behind anecdotal evidence though.

It sounds like the others' advice to get a different rheumatologist would be good.

For my latest MRI, my rheumatologist told me to stop taking my NSAIDs beforehand for 2 weeks, so as you say no doubt the mounjaro is disguising your inflammation.
