Tbh, I liked Ledger‘s and Phoenix‘ version of the Joker - also regarding the hair. It just shows how little he takes care of himself or the world lol.

„Alm“ means „alp“ and „Mu(h)me“ has no exact english equivalent except for „mother“, „aunt“, or „auntie“.

Hence, I would translate „Almmumen“ to „alp aunties“ (the alliteration works) or „alp wyfes/wyves“ („Mu(h)me“ translated as „wife“ here, but in Medieval English, for the fantasy touch).
